And this just for eye candy. (My son used that term last night and he didn't get it from me because this is the first time I've used it "out loud".)

Everybody stay warm.

And I thought nobody loved me anymore...

The problem is obviously that you are too popular - since your inbox was all filled up!

Also, I wanted to tell you that there are some special birds at the poultry auction tonight! Besides some of mine that I wouldn't have sold except for the fact I just have to thin down the number of pens before water-freezing weather hits (this is to the birds that I didn't want to sell --->

)
There is also a pen full of ShowGirls! I would say 10-15 of them. And two pens of Silkies from the same person!
Plus there are some gorgeous Russian Orloffs (and they are so rare!

Well I think it is a cross of some sort. It has a comb like a buttercup and sorta like a Penedesenca but too small for a pure of that. and feathered feet like a Cochin and ear lobes like a blue Andalusian but had some red feathers too.
Don't know what else but looks like more than one bird contributed to this project.

Freezable bantams? Which ones are those?

Modern Games and Seramas. I know they are warm weather birds.

I've also got the Shamos and Sebrights in there for good measure. They "look" freezeable to me.

And since there is room, the OEGBs.

I'd rather be safe than

.

Oh, and wouldn't you know it. I got AAAs instead of AAs.

As long as you give them a place to get out of the weather, they're fine (if they have been acclimated). The sebrights I had free ranged over the winter and did fine. The serama were in a pen with a wind block and survivied too.

I had just emailed the person who listed them to find out where they were located and he said "norteast Tennessee". I didn't think much of it until I saw his name was Wayne. Then I thought, "I wonder........"

So, Tara, can I tempt you with a outstanding pair of Orloffs

I'm sadly not going back out to the auction tonight, but if you really are interested, you should PM Dandellion and maybe we can get them to you

I am so sorry that Mike didn't get the job, but it is encouraging that they want him to re-apply in January. You will be able to get through the Christmas holiday without trying to pack and sell your house. Plus, he probably won't have to take all the tests again next time

Well we made it home in one piece...MIke is whistling and goofing off. He doesn't seem disappointed at all...which is good...he put in a good word for the guy they picked. Told them they had picked the right guy for the job....We will see what happens in January....

I am going to bed...this cold is trying to kick my arse...I'm not going down without a fight. Thereaflu and hot tea, my blankie, pillow, stuffed chicken and hubby and a log in the fireplace..should be better in no time....

We did go to Jake's! OMG... it was worth the whole trip....my gosh they give ya enough food for an army!!! Then on top of that...good COLE SLAW!!! Next time, screw the fries....I'm just gettng ribs and slaw!!! AWESOME!!!!
