Les, I really did think of doing that. But for some dumb reason I didn't. Your right though. Me and my wife and son and his wife lifted it off. I took the bed all the way off to clean the frame up. I had to grind welds off where previous owner had welded back bumper too high. It took me the longest to come up with the money for the pump. Over $300 for a Delphi. I didn't want to go a rebuild kit.

I'm used to putting the pump on the block. Quick and easy. Glad I've still got my 86, I can still work on it myself.

I said earlier that I wouldn't do it again. Because of what you would be charged by mechanic, I would. Everything is easier after you have done it once. I would have let loose though when I saw that gasket on the seat.

I am scared to death of mechanics.....We got a 2003 Dodge 4X4.. brand new. Came off the lot with electrical gremilins....Alarms go off...fans don't work, the radio cuts out, the windows work...sometimes they don't...the dealer told me they couldn't fix it because they would have to go through the whole electrical system...I'm like...NO CRAP that's why I paid for the warranty!!! Out here..they said they would fix it...I get it back it's exactly the same electrically, only they frigged up the door jacking around with it...I hate dealers...the owner of the Dodge dealer is a deacon in our church...ev ery time he gets up there I wanna yell out...Don't buy a truck from this thief!!! Now everything is computerized....they have to fix it... no one else can!

Since we have 8 foot forks on the forklift at work I can pull the bed in about 5 mins and the entire job takes less then 30. But in fairness I make a living putting gooseneck balls in the beds of trucks so it is second nature to me.

Now not only can I not eat MSG, but I can't eat anything fatty and absolutely no dairy. Everything in our house is either MSG, dairy, or fried! I'm gonna starve to death!!

I go to yet another doctor Friday. I don't wanna go, they find something else wrong every time. Lol. Why does my body hate me!?

My hubby was an EMT when he was 18, carried an Advanced Life Support license for several years. He still talks about it sometimes... I admire anyone who works in the medical field. It takes a tough person to have to see sick, injured, and worried people everyday.

Ya'll and your car mechanicness... I check my oil, battery water, and occassionally fill the wiper fluid container. That's the extent of my personal mechanic skills.

Does anyone know if Ramen noodle flavoring has MSG???

Cammie - ya poor thing! i would offer to cook you something but...I don't know how to cook w/o fat! I would have kicked the doctor! My last visit they drew blood and proded...I kept my pants on and faced him the entire time! Anyways...he thought for sure I would have messed up something..choloesterol or something...nope healthy as a horse...but then he called me a percheron

7 days and I will be sitting in hunting camp awaiting the shots that say my boys done good! Now to buy enough ingredients for jerky...need to make some pepperoni this year...

Darling...for someone as cute as you I would hunt down whatever and do whatever it takes to make it palatable!! i will double check my ingredients and should have some at Shawnee! Looking at 4 deer worth! That is as long as i don't decide to take the expensive deer (out of state license is over $300!)

granted when I say 4 deer...last year we killed 6 and Shawn killed 2...we had the same amount of meat
