I've added Slightly Cracked & crew to the latest Shawnee list. I know I'm missing someone - is it you, OldTown?

Maria and I are going to be there. Don't know if we'll make it on Saturday yet, but Sunday for sure... as long as the roads are clear.

Thanks ya'll!

Cammie, the hatching eggs I bought are black copper marans, blue marans, white marans and BLR wyandottes! I actually already have some of all these & some are even laying already but I need some more and unrelated bloodlines to strengthen the flocks. The cuckoos are definitely beautiful big birds aren't they? I love our flock of them too. Hopefully you get your birds in the city with you soon.

I may go to bed early tonight ... with some Nyquil probably. I either caught a cold from my granddaughter or from one of the visits to the hospital. Anyway, I'm drinking lots of hot tea with honey from Maribeth! I'll be over this in no time ... so I can go to a poultry auction this weekend???? Hopefully I can go to a high school football playoff Friday night.

luv2bmemaw2, do you teach at Sequoyah Claremore? That's who the Tuttle Tigers football team is playing next. I sure hope I'm feeling better to see that game! Go Tigers!!!!

Ok all you show people I have a question I dont have my bands yet for my birds and on the registration on the Shawnee entry forms ask for band numbers what do I do because I have to have this in the mail tomorrow and wont have my bands till next week. Quenston

Your band order should say something like "band #s 50-100", if it does, then write down any numbers that are included in the ones you bought, and make a note to yourself of which ones to put on which birds

I didn't see you listed on the first page of this thread, so welcome to this wonderful thread, where there are many fine people who are addicted to hatching poultry, raising poultry and attending poultry auctions. Disclaimer: if you dont' already have an addiction to hatching, raising or acquiring poultry, there are sufficient enablers on here to assist you in acquiring such an addiction. So, what kind of poultry do you have and what would you like to have?

I raise meat rabbits and like them. I am still working on finding a way to tenderize the leg quarters so they aren't so tough (maybe soak them in Coca Cola for a few hours?) but we really enjoy the tenderloin from the rabbit.

You're welcome! I'm glad you like them

They look so much happier at your house than mine too. That's funny on the splash roo ... his feet are splash colored too. I never noticed that before.

Carla,
Glad you are enjoying hot tea with honey. It certainly soothes a sore throat and I start drinking it when I am losing my voice due to swollen vocal cords caused by allergies and drainage. It really helps.

I have some RIR, but they are not laying yet. I am raising them as all naturally as I can, no medicated feed, free ranging and all the scraps from my organic garden. But when I start having eggs come from them and confirm their fertility you can have some. Where are you located? I am in between Stillwater and Tulsa, not too far from Sand Springs, but I also have family in Norman.

Kate

I would like to get some good quality RIR's all of mine are auction Birds

I have 5 dark one's that will be laying in the spring but they are from the auction too

Allen
