Good morning all!

Hey Brick I was going to but but I fell asleep before I got thru with the post following it! Both racks were great. Isn't it amazing how different they are. Looks like the grandsons is actually a bigger spread but the sons has the most mass. You could put three of our Tennessee racks inside the grandsons! It certainly is a rack that will live in his mind for the rest of his life I'm sure. Good to see you instilling such good memories in the younger generations.Good hunters are like good chicken raisers, they just have a more careing sensibility about them.
What part of the state did those come from?

Stimpy, You guys have come a long way in the evolution of deer camps.

A TV in deer camp? Who would have ever thought that?
I remember the first time we had a mobile phone at our Colorado deer camp. We were really uptown.
Before that we had to drive 40 miles to use a telephone to call home and check in. Never managed a TV though.
We had running water. You had to run down to the creek to get it.
We also had a nice two holer outhouse.
The closest we got to having electricity was when lightning struck a huge pine tree close to the cabin. And when I say cabin, I mean cabin.
Anyway glad you had a great time. Like you said it is all about making the memories.

Monty,

When I say "cabin", I mean cabin too. It just happens to have central heat and air, satellite TV, and a full kitchen and bathroom. Yeah, I know it isn't really a deer camp, but I ain't really going there to hunt deer.

I asked my son why he waited until almost noon on Saturday to go to deer camp and his response was that he wasn't really planning to hunt. He just wanted to visit with everyone and eat camp food.

Sorry, I was focusing on what a nice looking family you have and didn't even focus on the deer. It is pictures like that you can look at 10 years from now and wonder about how fast he grew up. Are you going have to the racks from your grandson's first deer mounted?

It was a very nice deer I am sure he was excited. I meant to reply but I am on a 3 day work week and not on here as much the last day or two. I know my son was so proud of his first last year. I think is is alittle let down that he hasn't gotten one as big this year, told him he was lucky last year.

I saw it, too Brick - sorry I didn't comment, but I did enjoy the photos. For a while I thought the first photo was of you and the second was your son, but then I re-read and figured it out (I think).

Thank You for all of your prayers, he came back last night and stole her ATM card and wiped out her account, I am doing good so far I havnt went to jail YET she has went to the court house to file her restraining order on him and his family, so she is doing better this morning just a little more mad than sad today, I assured her that my chicken friends would be praying for her and she got the biggest laugh and said she appreciated it, Hope everyone has a great day!!!! Hello Okies. It looks like it is going to be a great day. The sun is shining and there is only a slight breeze outside. Its a bit nippy, but not too bad. I got a new calf yesterday. She is black with brown hair tips. She is gorgeous. I'm still trying to come up with a name for her. She's a bit wild, but she's calming down because she know the big bad human has the yummy bottle. She did really good on the switch from momma to bottle. Only had to fight with her for about five minutes last night. Most of that was us trying to get her to hold still while being that close to us.

I get to go in work late today. Don't have to be there until 10:30, then its 3 hours of CPR training ang off to the next job. As soon as the kids get home, I have to take them to the dentists for their checkup. Then home to get ready for the trip to OKC in the morning. Lauren is starting to freak out about her surgery. I don't know what to tell her because I'm a bit freaked myself. Hopefully the hospital staff will help to calm her tomorrow. They are going to let her tour the OR and explain what is going to happen. I am just hoping that this helps to ease her anxiety and not make it worse.

Brick - I will admit, I didn't look at the photos until today. They are some fine looking deer. I was reading on my phone yesterday and I have images turned off so it will load faster. I didn't get on the computer until this morning. That grandson of yours look mighty proud, Of course, I would be too. I remember the day my son came home and told me that he got his first kill. I wasn't a deer though.

I know I've missed a lot of posts this week and its only Tuesday. I guess I better get off here and start getting ready for work. I have to go to Atwoods first and exchange some of DH's birthday gifts. That always takes forever. I hope everyone has a great day.

I'm sorry your niece got involved with such a tremendous LOSER and that he continues to prove his stupidity by stealing. When you first mentioned this to us, I realized that guy must be a real idiot...I mean, has he ever seen you? You are NOT a man I would want mad at me! I'll keep praying for your niece and your family...and let us know if you need bailed out...

The kitten darted off the porch this morning and apparently got under my car when I was backing out to take my daughter to school this morning. I found her in the yard when I got back. Great, my second day of vacation and my first real day off, and I run over the kitten.

Oh faerie - I'm so sorry! I've done that, too - those little things hide in dangerous places and you can't blame yourself for not seeing it.
