Bragg away my friend. That is why we had kids wasn't it??

I have a question for all those veteran poultry show people. At the show is it just chickens or do they have other birds as well? You know like turkeys, bourbon red turkeys to be exact.

I have two toms and one hen. The hen is a little witchy (if ya know what I mean) and the guys just do not seem to like her much so they have taken to following me around doing the "I'm a sexy turkey" routine. Uuaahh!

I think we need another hen to give them someone else to torment.
You know this seems awfully familiar. Did I not write this same post last spring???

Oh and I think i'll drag my lazy carcass out of bed and meet everyone at IHOP Saturday morning. Could someone be a dear and email me the address or general location?

Muskey I am not a veteran but I didnt' see any turkeys at the last show I was at. They did have ducks and I know this one will have pigeons in another building.

As for the Ihop, they just said it is by the highway so I figure I will see it.....sorry I am not much help.

Night.

Last summer my brother visited me, along with his boss - who is of Chinese descent. His boss said that silkies are considered a delicacy in China. A few years ago, I convinced my neighbor to butcher one - she was not pleased with the gray meat and black skin. Said it didn't seem like chicken to her.

I generally have honey on hand, that I get from a beekeeper in Noble. I only take it to places like auctions to deliver it when requested. I will take some to Shawnee since so many have expressed an interest in it. A neighbor came by the house this evening, to purchase eggs and "more honey". I think the secret to the great flavor of the Noble beekeeper's honey is that he cleans the filters on his processing tank quite often, to prevent a build up of wax.

Monty - I do have information on how to get hold of Deedra - in Choctaw. She runs top bar hives, primarily for the wax. I don't know if she sells honey or just her hand lotions and chapsticks and soaps made with beeswax.
