I did not do gymnastics so scratch that off the list. Twirling strings on a stick is not a sport.

Buster I only lost three bouts in my illustrious career but two of those were enough to let me know I had no long range future.
I learned the same lesson in one of the other sports as well.

I got 1. Stupid chickens!

My brown leghorn is the only one I can really tell is not laying - I haven't had a white egg in Quite Some Time. I figure I've been lucky that the cold weather and shorter days haven't affected my flock too much as yet, although I've noticed signs that a couple of them are about to molt (if we were in the UK I'd have typed 'moult'), so maybe they'll slack off soon. I did put a 60W daylight bulb in their coop on a timer - it comes on at 5:00 a.m. and goes off at 7:30 when the sun comes up. They wake up, hit the feeder and get to work! Oh, and I hold regular company meetings to stress the importance of keeping production up in these hard times and to recognize top performers.

That's more difficult.

I am not sure how mottling and mille fleur would work. Are there black d'uccles? Probably harder to find than the mottled. White might work, also, but I don't know if the white in d'uccles is recessive or dominate. Have you tried asking Tadkerson here on byc?

I have seen White ones, but not Black... I think both are a recognized color though.
I will send T. a message, and I'll let you know the answer

Hey Jason - it's good to see you post! Congratulations on being on leave until next year (doesn't that always make it sound longer?!). We appreciate you and Jeannie - she does a great job of keeping us updated on what's going on at your place, and I know you have Big Plans - including exciting family outings to the Dump, etc. for your holiday vacation. Enjoy! I will look forward to seeing you at the next POOPS. Meanwhile, stay safe and warm and full of Jeannie's pies and cookies...and Merry Christmas!

Sure I don't mind one bit, I have always been and still am a jock although my ole bones may disagree. I used to play all sports and at one time in HS was a state champion Hurdler LOL my only claim to fame. Now I just play softball in the beer league and Golf every Sunday with the boys in the summer.

Woah! Ok which hurdles? I too am a hurlder, I ran the 400 hurdles for OSU back in the day on scholarship. Broke my HS record for 300 hurldes when I was a softmore. I LOVE TRACK! Sometimes I go outside and the air just smells like track season and I just about melt because I miss it so much.

OK coooool I ran the 50 yd & 60 yd high and low indoor Hurdles, and the 100 & 120 yd outdoor high hurdles, Back in 1971 in Ill. I also was a decent High jumper using what we use to call the Fonsbury flop method. I coached my young DD in sprinting and relays the past few yrs, she is tall and lanky and can run a hole in the wind just like her Daddy LOL.
