Maybe the RIR needs antibiotics?

Wow the end, I finally found the end!!

So why wasn't everyone out enjoying the beautiful day today?

Ours started early this morning with a road-trip to the hill country to get some birds. First we stopped by and visited Betsy and got both a Silkie rooster and a Showgirl rooster and had a nice visit although it was way too short. Then it was off to Split Socket 222s place to get a trio of Asils in blue. Gorgeous birds. Of course we ended up getting another pair and having a very good visit and looking at some extra fine birds.

Then it was off to the Jones auction to meet Monty and pick up the NNEE or the EENN whichever suits you and man that place was packed. I swear there was not an empty parking place in Jones.

There were two birds there, one was a birchen Wyandotte and the other was out of the same line but it had a single comb. Maybe they were crossing with Rocks to improve size?

I will get some pics of the Asils tomorrow and the Silkie and Showgirl too.

The Asils will make Teach drool and I'm sure the Showgirl will make Sooner jump!!

Put around 300 miles on the truck today but we both had a good time, I'm very tired now that I have gotten sat down. Kate I took 51 over to 48 and up to 412. So how close were we to you?

You might try some Teramyacin ointment in her eyes. It is available at Lumber 2, Tractor Supply, Atwoods, Swain Serum and most any feed store that carries medications. I have also used triple antibiotic ointment on their eyes - like what you get at Walmart for skin infections. You wouldn't use it in a human eye, but it doesn't seem to hurt the chickens.

Gerald & I sure had a great time tonight. I'd only been there once before .... years ago. They must have added on since I was there. I sure didn't know it was that big of a store & sure didn't know they had a place to eat in there. Wow, and lots of taxidermy'd critters everywhere too. Clothing for sale there even. Oh, and I hear you can buy season passes for shooting. I sure wish we had the time, I'd love to visit that place a little more often.

If I win the rooster, I want to give it to BarnSwallow, along with as many other roosters as I can manage to catch at my place.

BarnSwallow, since you "can't" buy any chickens until after the first of the year would you like to be "gifted" with a bunch of mutt chickens that are a few months old? I could deliver them to you right after Christmas.

My culls are my free rangers. Rather than killing them off myself I let them free ranger so that the hawks and other predators go after them and leave my brood pens alone, so far it's work out just fine.

maybe thats the solution to my roo problem- let him out in the morning and offer him to the hawks and eagles??

Me too. However, it isn't that Macs don't get virus's but that there are just not as many written for them as their is for Windows. So Macs can get a virus, it is just very unlikely that they would and if they do it is a lot easier to fix the computer. Apple rules!

Maybe apples just scare off hackers- i love mine...

I have also used it on a cat's infected eyes and it works great. I think somebody did tell me that you can use it in humans eyes too, but please do not take my word on that one. Just take a very little rub between two fingers then over going downwards, no need to try and make sure it gets directly in eye it will seep in around the lid. At least this is what I did and it worked, when compresses were not.

That part of the state is really pretty. I like the hills and trees. When I was driving I hauled grain from Enid to Port 33 and drove 412 twice a day for years. Then we would often go to the Port of Catoosa and pick up fertilizer or to Quapaw to pick up ag. Lime to take back to Enid.
