Good Mornin everyone!!! No snow here yet, just rain. But they are calling for snow to start this afternoon and then end Christmas morning sometime. City I pray that you have safe travels and beat the bad weather!! I am at work trying to find something to do but I am just not motivated, I mean what is there to do at 620 in the morning at a Casino, i know what some people are doing and they look as bored as I do!!! Nothing but rain here too! I am getting ready to go to work. Q I will be glad to talk & entertain you once I get to work. LOL. I will be the only one there too. City I am saying my prayers for you safety while traveling! Be careful! Jarvis, do you guys have a genereator?? Seems like that would be handy if it goes out every year.

I liked the cutting out the fabric part, but didn't like the finishing it up and hemming it part. I don't recall how many half finished outfits and needlework/craft projects I tossed when we moved into this house. I finally acknowledged that after more than 17 years, I wasn't going to finish some of the projects I started before we got married.

A few years ago, I decided I wanted to begin making quilts. I have a closet full of gorgeous fabrics that I consider too pretty to cut. Now, when I feel compelled to buy fabric, I acknowlege that I am a "stash builder" and only buy fabrics that I want to look at for awhile, before I pass them along to someone else to actually use.

I don't have much of a stash, however I do quilt, knit, spin, and sew. The only "real" stash I have is my spinning fiber, because well... that's seasonal (when sheep/llamas/alpacas are sheared) and I never know when I'm gonna need it! Reminds me... I need to have a lot of raw fleece sent to the processor... I just don't have time to process it myself. *sigh*

Seems the craze for ripped up jeans is back, saw an entire rack of them a Wally World for half again as much as new and whole jeans.

Remember the Levis 501 craze? I sold some used ones for 100 bucks a pair.

I have a pair of jeans that I ripped a couple months ago... I can't tell you how many times people have asked me where I bought them.

Um, dudes? I bought them new... then I did this thing called *wearing them out*. Eventually, they'll rip on their own.

We are having a bad ice storm....Altus has been out of power since about 4 this am. Mikey is out hanging in the air in a 40 mph wind....Please pray for him if you are a praying sort. I still have power in the boonies, but don't know for how long... hens are incarcerated.

I can see some snow, but it was freezing rain most of the night....The wind is the scariest! Brrrr. Going to go work on net bags till I lose power... then I plan to emulate the Donner party!!

Funny that they want the pair that were wore and natuarally became torn!

P&B I have lots of projects like that. I just don't have anywhere to set up my sewing or quilting. Makes it hard to work on a project when half of your time is spent pulling it out, then putting it up!

NN be carefull while driving.

I will run to the feed store in a few minutes then back here till around noon or 1pm. Our Christmas festivities start tonight at one MIL house & will continue through next weekend. I will be fat as a Christmas goose when it is all done.

Good morning all,

The wife just called to let me know that she made it to work ok. She said that the roads between Lexington and Norman are just wet, no ice yet. Her boss said that they will start sending people home as the conditions get worse. Makes me wonder why they make them come in at all. Anyway, I'll sit her until she calls me to say she's on her way home, then wait til she pulls in the drive. Everyone stay inside and stay warm. And if I missed you before, have a Merry Christmas!

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all of my good friends here today, To all of those who have to travel please be safe and watch the other guy. No snow here but the wind is howling like all get out, stuff blowing and tipping over. I am at home all day there is just nothing at the job site that can't wait till after Christmas, and my Family time is more important than strapping on a toolbelt. I am a little worried about Beth as this weather is going to play havoc for her long drive, I hope she gets online later to let us know she is Ok.
