Hey Al, I wasn't ignoring you yesterday. I was at work and things got busy. It was good to get to meet you also. No, I didn't meet anyone else there. Didn't recognize anyone from pictures here, lol (like I did you. )

I was just hoping there would be something there to show my GD.
There were a couple of brothers there from Hydro that I know from work. One of them sold the 11 cochins for $6.75 @.

The roosters are standards. I picked them up tonight, so I haven't had a chance to learn about their individual personalities. They are friendly enough, and they took to their new surroundings quickly.

When do you think my EEs will lay a dang egg? Are they notoriously slow to lay? I hatched these in April I think.....or maybe may.

Just got off the treadmill, took my shower. and TCU is giving away the dang game..... going to bed....

Night okes...

Faeries your daughter is so pretty...she looks exactly like you (from the old avatar) You are so blessed.....

I has been my experience that if my pullets haven't started laying before it turns cold, then they won't start till spring. This year even the veteran layers have taken the year off.

I have fed my birds unshelled peanuts in the past and they ate them without complaint, once I crushed the shells a little for them. I don't see how peanuts or peanut butter could hurt them. They grind down anything two large to digest in their gizzard, so size isn't a problem. If you aren't sure about the peanut butter, put it between slices of bread so they are eating bread rather than sticky peanut butter. Just my thoughts.....

found my prior post........

The rubberized gloves I recommend for keeping your hands dry while busting ice for your chickens and critters are called "Glacier Glove" and are designed for fishing, hunting and outdoor purposes. The website is www.glacieroutdoor.com and Lumber 2 sells them for $19.99 plus tax. I bought another pair this afternoon since I can't find the pair I bought last year - and was able to get them in a size small, which I couldn't do last year. The tag says Ice Bay 812BK and describes them as "The original Glacier Glove ICI BAY Neoprene

I do recommend turning them inside out as much as possible after you wear them, because they do get damp inside and then they are clammy and more difficult to put on the next time you wear them unless you have gotten the fingers dried out. I don't know whether the moisture comes from my hands sweating or because I am getting part of my hand wet when filling rabbit water bowls.

If we can figure out transportation, I am interested in all of them.

I will send you a PM

BigOkie,
After busting ice out of 48 rabbit bowls this evening, I think I will hold off on getting any more rabbits for awhile. That is a very good price for what John is selling so I am confident he will be able to get what he is asking. Sorry to be so wishy washy.
