Beth ; put yer bid on and belly up, here is your dinner for the evening.

We will start with a light spring zupa very aeromatic with a delicate flavor.

Then a main course of baked Cornish hens dressed in a sage & herb stuffing.

And to finish it up a nice big slice of heaven or Chocolate pie with a creme topping.

Don't forget to give a big burp when finished as it is a sign of a good meal,

sounds like a great idea but that could be a really long list of "alternatives"

You're probably right - because to perhaps most of the U.S., beef, pork, chicken and sometimes fish are the extent of the meat experience.

Oh shoot - sorry muesky!

You are right and leaving the country for a while will really open your eyes as to how everyone else lives, I gave up asking what I ate unless I liked it and then it was too late. It was good.

Just getting caught up and yes they are one of the best choices for ANY area. And I have research tagged in my favorites to back me up on that too. NNs are probably the most studied breed of chicken alive.

Welcome b52, you indeed have a friend in Kingfisher.

I have gotten adult birds shipped through the USPS without a hitch and I bought them on Eggbid.

I know I like those - and alligator, rattlesnake and baby octopus. I guess I want to try some of those others because then I might have an excuse if I ever want to get some. Of course, call ducks are so dang cute they don't need another reason. I saw them for the first time at the Tulsa State Fair - they looked exactly like those cute little plastic yellow rubber duckies, only white and other colors.

Um... the food looks great! But if I burp, then I'll be running from the table to the bathroom. I'm one of those weirdos whose gag reflex is triggered by burping. So you'll have to excuse my rudeness if I don't burp after eating such a wonderful looking meal

Good evening all. Geez, I left for an hour and come back to 4 pages of catch up. I asked my husband to monitor for me, looks like he decided to join in and give all of those that helped me decide to get ducks a hard time.

B52 - sorry about the cochins, I asked my husband if he remembered who was bidding against him, he said he wasnt paying attention to who was after them cause he was taking them home.

Never been real big on trying lamb fries or calf fries. Just like I'm not big on eating organ meat (and the fastest way to get me to leave it to start cooking liver, ANY kind of liver). Just not something I've ever wanted to try (except the liver, mom used to make us eat it) because of the smell. I like duck though, and lamb... never tried goat, or deer. Not interested in eating rabbit. Love fish as long as it's the kind with fins/scales, not a fan of crustaceans (and I've tried enough shrimp, lobster, etc to *know* I don't like it... it's the texture).

Glad I live in a place where I eat what I like for the most part.
