To those having problems with headaches I would like to share my recent experiences:
Last Friday Corey came home from school and told me one of her teachers had done a test on her. Her teacher gave Corey these colored overlays to use while reading. Of course, I started doing some research on it and called her teacher on Monday. Her teacher confirmed that she had screened her for the Meares-Irlen Syndrome. And this was hereditary... To make a long story short. Her teacher screened me today and said that I could benefit from the overlays as well. I've had headaches thru the years and I have 20/20 vision. The last time my eyes were checked was this last summer. And at that time I complained of the some of the vision problems such as the text jumping, red & itchy eyes (I was thinking this was allergies) and headaches. I had never put it together that it wasn't normal for about three words to be in focus on a page (while the rest of the page was blurry) or to use my finger to keep track of the line I was reading on or else lose my spot. I mean I have 20/20 vision. If those of you having problems with headaches have been doing a lot of reading or computer work lately, do a search on Irlen Syndrome and see if you have any more of the symptoms. I had never heard of this until this weekend and found it rather fascinating what a different color tint on the text will do.
I just thought I would pass on this information and if it helps anyone else that would be great.
