Teva fried up some of the ground Elk that I got Sat. into burgers last night, a little salt, pepper and garlic was added while cooking and they were great. The taste was milder then grass fed beef and there was no grease that fried off of it. Very lean meat.

I think I will try to talk her into meatloaf for the rest of it.

Hey Everyone,

Just hopping on few a minute or two to say hello....
I got both of my incubators full of eggs now!! Rhode Island Reds,Silver lace Wyandotte, and Americana Eggs. Also after buying about 10 Dozen eggs this Weekend at Fletcher, My Rhode Island Reds Decided to start laying...3 hens 3 eggs... My quail are also starting to lay again... I just wish my Pheasants would...Their Eggs sell really really good. My ducks are now breeding again and hopefully will start getting eggs once again!

Well, It is beautiful outside and I am have the darndest time staying in and cleaning house, but better hop back to it again!

I used deer to make burgers last night along with spegetti. It was great! I have had elk once before but it was strong flavored, would love to have it again.

I had to chuckle when Les said that his wife added some garlic to the burgers. My wife truly loves garlic. I really believe she'd put garlic on ice cream if she thought of it. Burgers and sausage are the only way that I can eat venison any more. I don't think I could bite into a venison steak these days. But I do love me some summer sausage.

I guess I'm just burned out on it. My daughter never did care for it. If she only knew how much venison she consumed when she was a kid. We had to keep the menu secret from her throughout high school. Now, my son is the other side of the coin. He'll bite the heck out of a deer, I'm not even sure that dead is a prerequisite. He eats a lot of wild game. As a matter of fact, He's at home, smoking some ducks today.
