Tell Austin that the other set of ducks went for more than $16 each, so we just need to find him some younger ducks or an auction where ducks are going for his price range.

The Silkie and NN Roo were a mixed blessing - price was right, but now you have to feed them

I want you to know that I only buy large quantities of stuff if the price is right - regardless of whether I have a clue what I will do with it - but the price has to be right.

Your children are so polite and well behaved. You and Jason obviously work with teaching them manners.

I am talking to myself, so need to go to bed. Tomorrow will be an interesting day, as Faerielady and I butcher her chickens. Hopefully, we can have a quick lesson on what is where in a chicken without Faerie feeling like she wants to refrain from eating chicken for a very long time. Since we are going to skin them, it shouldn't take us too long.

Sorry that I didn't get to meet you. Since we don't know who you are, please come over next time you see some of us wearing blue shirts with a rooster on a white circle background and introduce yourself. The three tables at the back, with folks doing more talking than paying attention to the auction, was our group.

LOL Thanks. I can't imagine you didn't see me. I couldn't have been more out of place if I wore a clown suit lol. I was the big guy in shorts (only one in shorts) and a camo hoodie. I had to walk right past you guys going over to the other side to look at the animals.

I enjoyed it. I wasn't there for real long I had my sister in law, wife, and nieces with me. They wanted to see the animals. I didn't see any chicks so I was a tad disappointed. Lots of neat breeds of chickens though. I felt proud when I was able to tell the wife some RIR hens just by looking at them. (I'm a noob).

I think I walked away with more questions then answers but all in all, was neat. The wife saw some chickens that look quite small, but seemed to look full growen just mini, I told her they were pullets but I could have been wrong.

I'd like to attend again so I will look you up.

sometimes being country and having chickens just feels right I think.....

Good morning Okies!!

We got home last night from the auction and had lots of stuff to do. We didnt go to bed until 11:30 last night and we were tired when we left the auction last night. On the bright side, when we collected eggs last night my Golden Sebrights laid an egg, its the first since winter started. And my Ameraucanas laid an egg, its the first egg I have gotten from them at all. It was nice and dark green. So I had 2 nice suprises when I got home. Also moved eggs to the hatcher and rearranged some birds. It was a long day yesterday and going to be another one today.

It was nice seeing new BYC faces at the auction and to meet everybody i had not meet yet. Sorry for leaving early, we wanted to stay and visit but I was getting too tired to think straight.

Hope all is well with everyone. We didn't got to the auction at Blanchard last night. I pulled something in my back and it is not doing very well. You know it is bad when I take something for it. Tylenol didn't do anything. I've been up most of the night. I did stay on the phone checking on prices and placing bids vias phone. Dang-it, still didn't buy anything, Oh Well. I missed going and was dressed to go. Just couldn't do it. Renia and Monana "Hot Dog" are still asleep.

Steph,

Did I read that you promised to be "GOOD" Let me ask a question, "Since when???" Telling a newbie such as that you should be ashamed. haha Tell Carl that the trift shopis out of scuba tanks but I will keep looking. BTW Good Morning Steph.

Good Morning Doc! I can be good for a few minutes here and there...lol. We are getting ready to go to Chickasha in a few minutes. Got the windows put in the house down there yesterday, now we get to go back today to wire the house for eletric today and replumb the the entire house today. The electric should take about and hour and a half and the plumbing about the same. I will be helping with the electric but I am not crawling under the house so carl is on his own with the plumbing!

Hey Steph,

Renia is tickled to death. She spent about an hour candling eggs last night and every eggs she has in the 'bator is full of veins. Those SLW chicks are going fast, already trying to fly. Renia bought 2 Dutch ducklings at Alex the other night and put them in with the SLW chicks and you should see the puzzled looks the SLW give the newbies, like, "What the heck are you?"
