I bought me a new laptop yesterday myself. My other one took a crapola. Toshiba for about $500.00 from Best Buy and on sale. I swear they make these things so they break in a few years so you have to buy a new one.

Damn the man!! darn him!!

Just got power back about an hour ago.... Thank goodness, the kids were driving me nuts. Going from a 5 bedroom, 2 livingroom house to one living space isnt nice!

Talked to Stimpy today, he called this afternoon, said his phone wasnt working right. they dont have power but they do have heat and have been going just up the road to his son's house who has electric for what they need. He also said the first night of this weather that they have a big tree that their porch wraps around in the front of their house, it had broken, didnt cause any harm to the house but did block the front door so they had to call the fire department out to cut the tree out of the way. In general all is well with Stimpy and his wife.

Also talked with Fletcher last night, they are out of power as well and will be 2 to 3 weeks before they get power. They are doing fine, they have uprooted to the military base for now and are driving back and forth daily to tend to the animals.

Are you haveing schoolk tomorrow Teach? They are closed here, will be for a few days I imagine. We went the movies this afternoon ,the main roads are clear but side roads still pretty covered.

Yeah I have an EE chick hatched an another pipped. Now that poor little button will have some company!

OKC and surrounding area schools are closed. I think it's nuts. These city schools close if it gets to windy. The roads aren't bad IMO.

I'm from Enid and we were lucky if we got out of school with a foot of snow. Ah to be young again...

Well another day off work. I am getting cabin fever really bad. It is not like I do not have things to do it is just hard to get motivated with it being so cold outside.

Watching Le Vistors with Jean Reno right now. I totally love Jean Reno he is the best French actor ever. Huba Huba!!

French movies are so cool!

Ok so tomorrow I am going to place an order with Ideal hatchery. If anyone wants to get in on the order let me know. Later in the week I am placing an order with Purely Poultry for poults to be available in late March.

Well I am going to get ready for sleep. Even though I do not have to go to work I do not want to get my sleep schedule off.

Night everyone!

Well when you can't get out of your driveway or a bus can't get down a road or do a turnaround somewhere then what can they do? We have been in and out a few times but I have one car stuck in the drive way now that I will probably be spending the night getting out. I just came in to warm up and to read BYC so I could calm down.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. You guys down south got nailed. I hope you guys are staying safe and warm.

I'm in Yukon and I've been to down town, on I40, through Yukon and Bethany and the roads are clear or at least drivable. My point was Thursday schools were either closed early or all together and the roads didn't get bad until 5pm. Yukon here I think were closed all day. My brother-in-law is a principal for an OKC school and he thinks it's ridiculous.

You guys in Tuttle. Blanchard and etc got the raw end of the deal.

Well, I am hitting the hay so I can be well rested for tomorrow's drive in the ice and day from hell...grumble grumble grumble. Those of you who get to stay home--enjoy it for me! I wish I could be home too!

toodles!

No disrespect taken. I feel like you do. The streets are fine. We didn't get hit that bad out here. About six inches of snow on top of two inches of ice and and sleet. We never lost power which I am thankful for.
We got out three times with little trouble but I guess we have knocked enough snow away that it is just ice now and getting up the hill to the street or back up the hill to the house has gotten worse.
I wish my son was in school tomorrow believe me.
Everything is cool.

I wasn't upset, just ranting because I got stuck coming up the hill.

I am sorry if I came across as a grouch.
