I'm sure this isn't close enough for us but where is the South Central Poultry Club having their show?????????

It's the Cement, OK show. The entry deadline was a while back, and the show was suposed to be last week, but they let us all know they had to reschedule.

It's Doc,

Make so snow cream for those kids!!!!! We were told today that we are in for a long haul before we get power back on. Tomorrow I'll check on the scuba tank, they weren't open today. We do have a new goat paint doeling, we named her Stormy. Imagine that? We will keep you informed.

I LOVE snow icecream!!!

I bet I've eaten 10 lbs of it so far (this storm). I'm about the only one in my family that likes it. Well...except.... maybe the chickens, they will eat anything I throw them.

Cleochick! - What ya want on those muscovies...I gotta try this whole tastes like roast beef thing out!

Speaking of crickets...I have like 500 chirping in my room...feeding time at the zoo!

Hi Teach, How are you? I saw on the news that a soldier from Hooker was killed. Sorry to hear about that. Its especially hard in small towns and communities to lose someone.
I have heard that cattle taste just like roast beef too. They are much bigger than a duck though.

Pryor - 8 each

Newcastle - 6 & 7 each

This will definitely be a busy month. Corey will be overjoyed!

What's the info on the Newcastle show?? I hadn't heard about that one.

Fletcher...if you're talking about something like a crockpot I cook my roast in it now. After I did it once my family wants it that way every time. I put all the vegetables and meat in at once. I also cook my ham and beans in it and they're awesome.

You can cook enchiladas in the crockpot and that gets raves from my family.

chinese! brown meat...just before it is done throw in onion...when it starts to sweat throw in hard veggies (califlower, squash and such) mix...throw in soft veggies (bell peppers, mushrooms, etc..) throw on top of rice...

oh...spices...put in with meat..use whatever...it ain't really chinese you are just cooking! Use a really hot skillet with a little oil in it at first...I like to get rid of the juice from the meat and re-spice it...

I'm working on the plans for our new coop and was wondering of those of you that keep your breeds seperate how big of a building do you have. Our funds are limited but I want to keep them seperated, dry and a place to put everything. I'm sick of all the work we have to do now due to lack of a correct facility. I'd rather get rid of the birds than go through another winter like this.

What I'm looking at is making the divided pens inside have a small opening with a hinged door for them to be able to go outside to a covered run.

If anyone has suggestions please send them to me. Al has been giving me ideas but also wanted to get some more ideas just in case you have a great idea we may not have thought of.
