Are you going to get to make trips back this year/ I am going to do my best to go to poops this year. Done told the wife and put my foot down! Hello everyone. It has been a very long day. I don't know how much I'll be able to keep up for a while . We are dealing with some personal issues.

Roy- Up for bid are some guineas, ducks, EE trio, Silkie cockeral, and lots of other roosters

any of the land around your parts that i have seen will grow anything, its all either rich and black or dark and sandy, should be able to handle anything you choose if it fits in the weather we have here.

I have a mixture of all the above, far back lot is sandy........backyard is red...........and the horse lot is dark

Lawton's water problems essentially ended last night when one of the big local companies (Goodyear?) loaned the city a big generator. Some of the power is up in Medicine Park, which is where the water treatment plant is, but I'm not sure if the plant has electricity yet or not. They are still telling folks to conserve, which they should, but just wanted to mention they will not be running out of water.

Wayne, how are you? What's that about Big Q coming my way and no PM? I'm not sure on the trips, my nephew graduates this year and my wife said that she wants to go but my son is graduating also and I don't know the schedule yet or if I will be able to afford the fuel. I haven't heard when POOPS is but I sort of doubt it unless my daughter can find a job to help with college costs. All the usual college kid jobs are being filled by out of work adults who have a much better looking resume'.

The flock is doing well, slowed to about 19 eggs a day with the muddy run and the stormy weather, but some are still young and haven't started laying yet. I will be trying to separate some into breeding pens for spring. One of these days I might even get some new pics posted. Here are some from this spring's chicks, they look darker in person without the flash.

I need each of your honest opinions regarding your cell phone service.

Jason and I have been with T mobile for now almost 4 years since we got here to Oklahoma, while living up in Lawton/Fort Sill we had NO problems with our phone and loved our plan

1000 shared min
free mobile to mobile
300 textmessaging ect

all for $75

Since we bought our place and moved to Elgin our T Mobile Service blows!

We dont get signal and we have to drive 2.5 miles up the road just to get bars

Our contract is up (Jason is bad with phones so each time we replaced we had to extend the contract

)

We are looking for good connection, we dont do the fancy phone stuff but need a reliable carrier especially Jason since the Military now requires them to have cell phones
(you would think they would give them cell phone allowance pay like they do the clothing allowance)

For those of you in the most rural areas maybe similar to that of Elgin who do you use, do you like it, any issues with no signals or what I get now not getting your voice mail messages until 2 days later?

Jason and I really need to update our carrier and phones and I would value you alls opinions on what you like and dont like about your cell phone service... Thanks guys.

its in a post not too far back there were several places around that had good deals, you buy the first barrel and return to fill it, or take your own, hard part would be to unload the barrel at around 300 lbs, the only bad thing about doin that is if it is gonna last you that long the nutrients replete rather quickly especially chopped corn, thats what some people say anyway. and a barrel might only last me a 1-1/2 to 2 weeks how many birds do you have?

I actually only have 25 birds not counting the 20 chicks in the brooder, I do not plan to have a lot of birds, at the most maybe another 30 counting turkeys and peafowl. Right now I go through about 150lbs a month so I maybe at the point I need 300lbs by the end of the summer. My birds are all free ranged and during the spring and summer they actually do not eat that much feed. Winter is when they need more feed because there is less bugs and vegetation. So how much do the barrels cost? There is a place in OKC that sells them for $8 (food grade) But what it would cost to go pick it up would probably be more then if they sold the barrel at $20. I will call the Harrah feed store tomorrow.
Thanks for the information!!
