Buster - looked up the book...I understand...way too deep for me...I got all flustered when I took a philosophy course and they did that whole you are in a boat with x supplies and you come across someone floating in the ocean...I ended up deciding it was best if i went over board and ticked off a shark...but I take meds now and am much better...they told me so

Mike - yes i do...got them from a really nice guy in Tenn...where you gonna be?

These of course are the gorgeous dark assorted maran eggs that Carla sold at the Blanchard auction. There isn't any way I am going to be able to see any veining.

Carla - if you do decide to bring non-cuckoo maran eggs to the auction, put them in for the bidding and I will bid on them. You already gave me some wheaten marans and I ruined those by not changing the wafer in the thermostat and the temperature went to 120 - at least that was the highest temperature on the thermometer.

Time will tell how well they do and whether they hatch. I did set some Americauna eggs about a week after I set the maran eggs, so I think they will be alright now that they are turning.

I found runner duck eggs in a nest this evening, so I am going to put them in the incubator once they warm up to room temperature. I knew I should have fired up the sportsman instead of the Hovabator

There is also the Guy Rose Auction on Saturday mornings between Perkins and Stillwater.

I am going to try and remember what kind of ducks you want, but when I put out the word that I am placing the order (will place the order in March for delivery after Easter since ducks are more expensive the two weeks before Easter), please try to remind me. I won't be placing the order with the only hatchery that seems to have the crested blue Swedish, so let me know if you can live with non-crested ducks.
