:slaps hands and reminds self that a 700 sq foot house does NOT have room for an industrial machine...:

My husband is going after them and said that one of them is a Dalsew brand and one is a Remoldi ... Said they are very old... We were told that one of them was a $4000.00 Machine at once... They will probably be Make offers... I will take a picture of them first thing in the morning and send them to everyone who is interested thru a pm..

Well see that POOPS will be i can maybe join you all for fun. If you need help at the auction I would be glad to help out.
Consigned to the next sale on Feb 13th will be lots of baby goats, bottle calves, pair of India Blue Peacocks,Pied Peacocks but forget what pied (memory not like it use to be), pedigree Flemish Giant rabbits and chickens. Also will be a Montomery Ward Hatcher.

Then mark on your calendar on Feb 27th sometime between the Goats and Chickens will be holding a grocery auction. The chicken portion will start at 5pm no matter what. This is a filler until goat auction numbers pickup.

Looking forward to hear all of the laughter Saturday

Jerry

Ya'll do a fine job at getting everything together.

Again this year we will have our NPIP kit with us to test birds if needed. And I do have a few handouts left over from last time and am feverishly working on a suppliment.

Stray dogs struck again last night. After fighting through the electric fence wire, the dogs pulled at the door of the pen until they broke the welds on the kennel fencing wire in enough places to stick their heads into the pen. This was heaving fencing, not chicken wire. A coyote, raccoon, or possum would have taken the dead bird home for supper, but the rooster was still there, albeit in several pieces, so I'm pretty sure this is another dog attack. Because there wasn't more damage to the pen, I'm thinking the hot electric fence wires were annoying enough to get the dogs to leave after they killed the rooster.

poco, first thing that comes to mind is those old traps the trappers used to use that were like jaws... normally i don't like goin after an animal but this is getting outrageous! wonder if you need to move the flock into a sealed building unless someone is there? and then put motion sensing lazers that will blow them away.... sorry, still drinking coffee not thinking straight

Catching stray dogs I fear may be a little harder than trapping coon's & possums. I don't know if I could offer any worthwhile sugestions.
