So here it is Feb 14th, once again. Today is a special day for Maria and I, we've been happily married for 15 years as of 4pm today. Tonight we are going to dinner at the Mahogany Prime Steakhouse in Tulsa and then to the Loony-Bin comedy club. We've actually been together for 18 years now and it seems to have just flown by. Sometimes when I think back on all of these years together I have a hard time remembering if there ever were any "hard times" that we went through, it all seems to have gone pretty good and fairly easy, but then my memory is not what it used to be.... it's a real drag getting old.... on the other hand, ignorance is bliss.

That's right. I have two unsatisfied, disappointed women who hate me!

See and my Wisconsin ways are just the opposite. We were all friendly to each other and helped out a neighbor whenever they needed it, but I am starting to become hardened and don't want anything to do with my neighbors. If I ever move again, I will never speak to a neighbor again. I won't want to know them, talk to them nothing. I will just keep to myself and hope they do to. Because I am learning most people anymore are not nice individuals and don't care about others. If they want to do something for you it is most of the time, because they want something in return and are really not trying to do something for others to be nice.

I buy from various sources but I like to frequent the local guys. Bethany Farm Store is supposed to have good product but I have yet to make it that far to see. Deer Creek Feed has a wide range of poultry feed and if he doesn't have it Bobby will do his best to get it.

Many of the bigger places like Tractor Supply and Atwoods don't adjust prices to the market like the little guys and the Co-ops do, plus Atwoods sells 40 pound bags of feed for roughly the same as a 50 pound bag elsewhere.

My layers get an 18% ration plus a handfull of scratch daily and my breeders get a 24% protien ration with a mix of other stuff like Alfalfa pellets and just a sprinle of vitamins or Calf Manna. A lot depends on the weather too.

I just dropped in Bethany last weekend. Not sure what they have, I just know they have chicken feed. We've been going there on and off for a few years because they have a nice variety of dog foods.
Thanks for the tip about Deer Creek, it's nice to know someone will try to get what you're looking for. I had checked Tractor supply to see what they had.
If I understand correctly, most often the chooks prefer crumble to pellet, but the crumble wastes easier? Sorry if this is a stupid question -

I feed pellets, with a pellet it is easier to find once dropped out of the feeder plus if it falls on damp ground it doesn't dissapear as fast as crumbles. But there is I bet a 50/50 mix on people feeding either. It is just what works best for you and the birds. And no the question is fine.

Mine waste pellets more than they do crumbles. But, I mix up a very involved formula that is moist.

Vashi and I were married 27 years ago Friday. We should have had soe ahrd times with my young "adult" kids, but he's so stable, we didn't. They all turned out well ultimately. I'm sooooooo lucky to have found him.

Hello all. I, for one, cannot wait for warmer weather. This on and off cold spell is kicking my butt. Just when I get to feeling good, it turns cold again and I get sick again.

I am about to put Lauren down for a nap and crawl back in bed myself. The weather is getting to her also. She is, once again, congested and coughing.

The kids really enjoyed the valentine's gifts that I brought them from Nashville. I got them really cute cowboy bears and t-shirts.

Andrew didn't seem to care either way about his shirts, but what do you expect, he's a guy.

They got me some chocolate, flowers, a stuffed bear, wii accessories and a game. They also picked up some valentine's cookie and cake mixes for me, but then confessed that they got them so that they could eat them.

Hubby made me pancakes before he woke me up this morning. There are occasions when he is sweet.

Congrats to those that are having anniversaries. Sometimes it gets difficult, but it is always worth it.

Q - I completely agree on sleeping in your own bed being one of the greatest feelings ever. I died as soon as my head hit the pillow last night and didn't wanna get up this morning. I sure feels good to be home.

Edited to correct spelling.
