Hi Ms Faerie. How are things in y our world?

-Stimp-

Alright. Except that P&B made my daughter and I want goats. Which of course has J giving me the stinkeye.

Knitting between reading posts. I kinda want this shawlette to be done this year.

I almost got some goats. I asked my wife if I could have them, and she said no! That's almost, right?

That is the problem with asking for permission from a spouse, instead of asking for forgiveness after you have purchased what you want. If you ask for permission, the best you are going to do is "almost" get something. I don't usually give Hubby a chance to ask me "what are you going to do with that? Where are you going to put it?"

Yep that's almost. In my case, the stinkeye doesn't work for J. He can give it to me all he wants. He doesn't pay for the animals and doesn't feed them, so what I bring home, I take care of anyway. He is the one that said that, by the way.

Someone told me once that on things like purchasing livestock, it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Personally, if I'm the one feeding it/taking care of it, I'll buy what I want

Edited to add: Within reason and affordability, that is.

Well, Vonn won the women's downhill, and she was way ahead in the combined, and picked as the favorite. All of a sudden she falls down and her BFF from Germany takes the gold. That, by itself, isn't a big deal, but then Bob Costas shows an interview he did with the German girl from a few months ago. In it, she says that she and Vonn had discussed the upcoming olympics and said that the perfect outcome would be for Vonn to win gold in the downhill and herself to win gold in the combined. Coincidence? I don't think so. Now keep in mind that these girls are so close that they spend holidays at one another's houses. Something stinks in Canada.

Look forward to see you all at the auction.

Just to let you all know I have been very bad.. Over the last two days I ordered 15 bourbon red poults, and around 50 chicks of various breeds I want. I am so screwed come the end of March when I have requested delivery on all these. I have go to get another brooder made to hold all of these babies. The good thing is a now have all the birds I truly want. I guess I need to get that other coop put together ASAP, so I have a place to keep everyone.

I think I heard my favorelle rooster crow for the first time this morning and it was a bit creepy. Of course it was still dark when I went out to open the coop, so that probably increased the hebe jebe factor a bit. He has such a deep rumbling crow at first I thought it was a howl, which is so weird because he is one of the sweetest roosters I have ever owned, but he is pretty big.

Seems the tylenol is kicking in so I am heading back to bed. Need to be rested up for the auction tonight.
