Well I went to our auction today mostly took roosters and a couple of hens, there was a great turnout but no one wanted to pay anything until the silkies I was going to bid on came up and they went for 17-20 a piece but all I really wanted was the rooster and I got him for $9 guess everyone was going for the hens, I did buy 4 dozen hatching eggs today, there are 1/2 dozen Barred rocks, and 1/2 dozed welsummers, ther other 3 dozen are a assortment of Maran eggs, I pretty happy about them nice dark eggs and the price was great! hope everyone had a great day!!!

We're on our way home from the Fletcher auction & had a great time as usual. It was fun visiting with Jer-man, Maribeth & Dean, Rebecca & Uli, Jeannie & Jason, Michael, GB1, and Doc & Reina and Carah.

Lots of buyers were there but not a lot of birds. Prices weren't too bad ... a little on the low side, but not bad for the weather & not being quite Spring yet. We came away happy

Doc's Death by Chocolate Cake was EXCELLENT!

We stopped in Elgin at Trivett's Restaurant and had some excellent fried catfish too.
