Yes, I will have lots of crossed up bantams with me if I can make the P.O.O.P.S. gathering in May. I have japanese bantam x oegb (cock), oegb x BC Marans (cock & a couple of hens), some that are most likely still pure oegb (hatchery) [I have a splash cock, sdw pullet, black cock], sebright x oegb cock (henny feathered), and some other stuff I can't think of at the moment.

I asked Jerry whether he would have the LaMancha doelings at the next Blanchard auction and he wasn't certain he would have them by then. Apparently, all of the lady's sheep haven't lambed yet, so the doelings are keeping their mamas in milk until the lambs are born. We saw Jerry at Mary's yesterday and he had some other bottle goats, but they were also bucklings.

I agree. She is extremely attractive. I had to keep reminding myself that I have been selling my surplus Americaunas and don't really need any more hens.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't available when I could get them. That would be the way my luck normally works

Probably should use this as a reason just to work on the plans for converting a shed, and not do goats until next year. But that's not what I WANT to do

I have to confess that I never really was certain of the colors that sold so well last year. I have a blue and red Americauna rooster, so still get some blue pullets every now and then from the hatches. I am currently hatching all of the blue/green eggs from my laying flock, since I know that they are from an Americauna hen and the only roos in that yard are Americaunas. They are definately EEs since they are not solid color hens or roos.

Is it tan or a light pink?

It really looks more tan than pink. I have several EEs that lay a pink egg, but theirs are a rose colored pink and can be mistaken for a brown egg. I put her first egg in the incubator, but will check the color of the inside of the shell on her next egg, since that will determine whether she is laying a light blue egg with a non-descript cuticle color, or laying a white egg with a tan cuticle.
