You get whole peppers and crush them, seeds and all. Well save a few seeds to plant, they grow very well in our climate.

Got 6 in the brooder right now with another in the incubator ready for a brooder. All cute little NNs. Loading one tray with Asil bantam eggs and I am hopeing to get some good blacks out of this pen.

I'm hatching serama...lots of silkied, some smooth feather...all colors. It is a litle tricky..but I'm doing O.K....I think my humidity has been a little high. Have lost some right at hatching time. Going to drop my humidity and see if my hatch percentage gets higher.

Have you ever tried dry incubation?

We found one of those, cept it's not far enough from the neighbors, was built in 1994, and has no old farm house charm. Other than that it's perfect.

Thats just it with Oklahoma I think... Its really hard to find it all in one place. We have a nice place now BUT its only 10 years old and we have turnpike traffic noise. Summers its better and our lot 13 acres is in a nice neighborhood and we cant be seen by anyone... We ALMOST HAVE IT..
Whats that area out threw Guthrie where their is a collage... Wonderful views... Slips my mind of the name but its beutiful..

I haven't tried it before, but I've been reading about it and that's what I'm doing now. Will be awhile before I have test results.

Is that Maddie wearing 'tie die', sheesh, that brings back memories.....late 60's early 70's....oops, that dates me.

11 year old DD + messy room = Normal Operating Procedure.

Les, did you get my PM awhile back about a progress report on the hen you helped me with? She's ot laying and still has the abdominal mass, but is fat and sassy now. Gave you more information in the PM.

I tried it accidently many years ago. I thought the wife was keeping the water topped off and she thought I was....... Turned out to be a very good hatch.

How many do you plant??? Do you feed all the time or just once a month or what?
