We use a formula of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, dawn. Works better than anything else...nothing gets it all out.

Thanks, but won't the peroxide bleach out the hair?

No, H2O2 and too dilute for changing color. Just neutralizes odor.

That is the best remedy ever for deskunking... we have used it and the smell dissapates instantly ! We also found that it also rid the fleas off our dog for nearly 3 months..lol

1 Qrt of Peroxide (3% is what I have been told to use but I have 30% solution and I dilute to make it more 5%)

1/4 Cup Baking Soda

1 Tbsp of Dish soap like DAWN(something grease cutting.. not IVORY I also use a lil bit more to get a good lather)

4 Cups of Water...

I mix all stuff together and then lather onto the animal for about 5-8 min

avoid the eye area

and rinse well ....
