Cuban, I've been eyeballing cubalaya. That's bad. Very bad. I have nowhere to put any more birds. Especially after the dog fiasco today.

Oooh! I'm working on a bantam line too!

They make lovely eye candy

My daughter's dog, the terror terrier, keeps tearing up the coop. Today she managed to get enough wire up while I was gone picking up honey from P&B and waterers from Lumber 2, to let out all the chickens. I lost 1 of my project birds (mille fleur cochin pullet). Third strike. The dog will be re-homed. This time we were home within an hour, what if she does it again when I'm at work?

OMG, last fall we lost $800 of birds due to a dog getting into our yard while we were away from home. They weren't eaten, just killed.

My all-time favorite hen, a LF Partridge Cochin was the worst sight I've seen in ages. I had paid $35 for that hen and she was so sweet.

Ha Ha Very Funny. Uhhhhhh, BTW, I DON'T THINK SO.

In all seriousness, what town do you live in or around? We are from BB.

antlers/dela/rattan

I'm a transplant, not originally from the area.

Very familiar with the area. We go thru there going home when we get the opportunity to go.

This is why I won't tolerate a dog getting to them. Especially not a dog that *I* feed. I've lost a total of 10 birds so far, 4 from one dog, 4 from a second dog, and 2 to the terror. Most of my money is sunk into the MFC project birds. A pullet project bird *starts* at $25-30. Since there are no other breeders in the area except for TimK in Tuttle, they also have to be shipped in or picked up from out of state. I can't afford to lose those birds to a dog that resides at my house.

It has been a long day. We, Doc and Peaches, ooopppppssss, Hot Dog too are going to bed. Good night and May God Bless.

May God Bless our new addtions and bring them feathers for their poor, scrawny. naked necks.

Good Night.

I'm not skeert - just had to put the rabbits that were still in the magic poultry van, back into cages.... and feed a few things.

I know that payback is best served "cold" but...... wait, there are probably a couple of things you could do that would be sufficient payback. You aren't bringing any rooster chicks to POOPS are you?

Nope, it's still hanging out behind my eyeballs. It's still better than it was... I probably gave it to myself by sleeping way too hard last night. As in, I woke up in the same position that I went to sleep.
