Maribeth,
Howdy! Glad to hear you FINALLY Learned 'Restraint', your poor bidder number was pooped from all that bidding.

I hope you will be coming to Peaches sale, I should could use a hug. Not feeling the love from the 'Slave Driver', just work, work, work, I'm starting to feel like one of the Seven Dwafts. Hey, I've already got the name.

Hear everyone had a good time at Blanchard. Sorry we missed it. Doc is slowing down in his old age, I don't know when he will get those pens built.

Mornin everyone!! It has been a crazy week but it has slowed down today and dont plan on doing much of anything, went to an estate auction yesterday and bought a bunch of pens and wire!!! The best thing about the pens was I was the only one that bid on them!!! Hope everyone had a great time at the Blanchard auction, we really wanted to be there but just couldn't make it!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Morning Q,

Sounds like you made out like a bandit.

Pretty neat to be the only one bidding, those folks just didn't know about the finer things in life.

Hi all, I was so pleased to meet everyone at Blanchard last night and match people to names. I had a great time...wish I could have stayed longer....I didn't even get to stay until the cage I wanted sold. I really wanted that cage! I'll be back. It's not to hard for me to come directly after work and stay a couple of hours. Any longer than that isn't likely to happen. Supposedly I get off work at 3:00...that usually means BY 4:00 and Blanchard isn't far so that isn't too hard to do. I'm just here for a few minutes while I tend the kennel dogs and I'm gone. Have a good day ALL.

I should be up and going to finish picking up cages from the auction site but I am still to lazy!! I did get a awsome deal on a golf cart this weekend, just right for when the Chupps auction is going on!!!!!

Good morning everyone. We didn't get home from cleaning the new property until late last night. DH and DS went to feed cattle while DD and I tended to the birds. When that was done, we decided to go to town and grab a bite to eat. Both of the kids were nearly or already passed out by the time we got home, so we just called it a night. It has been a long time since I went to bed before midnight, but I made it last night. For some strange reason, I can't tell a difference today. It feels like I lost some sleep somewhere. I don't know what I'm gonna do today. I was going to make new condos for the Silkies and Seramas, but DH forgot to pick up the lumber. We don't have a local lumber yard that is open on Sunday. I suppose I could just work on the project that is due for work, but it is too nice to be cooped up inside today.

Oh yeah, I let the Silkies, Seramas, and older duckilngs out yesterday. They were a little scared, but not for long. The ducklings crawled through the fence and decided to hang out with the adult birds. I was freaking out, but the bigger birds didn't care. They were all running around together without any bickering. Of course I wrangled the little ducks and put them back in the growout pen. They didn't seem to like that much.

My RIR roo and Serama roo didn't want to play nice though. That little Sreama has some big attitude. He was trying like heck to taake on anything that came near the fence. He didn't care what it was. If it was on the other side of the fence, he wanted it bad.No one got hurt because my adult birds are . . . well for lack of a better word . . . chicken chickens. They are scared of just about everything. They'll fluff up for a couple of minutes, then the run and hide. Oh Big Boy, RIR roo, decided to attack me last night because I was trying to catch the ducklings. I guess he had integrated them into HIS flock and he thought I was trying to hurt them. A good kick in the rear sent him on his way for the rest of the evening. I realize he was just protecting his flock, so I didn't come down on him too hard.

2 HRS. from home to Chouteau....
Had a great time last night. My daughters get a kick out
of the birds and other kids. Did any body see that weird
cochrin roo that was yellow and grey kind of with the barred
hen? They were in the back near the chicks.
I slod some chicks and bought 1.... Yeap just one. I was
ready to keep buying I mean really who buys just one. As I bid
I see my husband paying out..

So I let the poor man have
his way. He works way to hard to fight with.
The bators were looking good. However I think I will just go to
the store and buy one. That way if their is a problem I can take it
back... No fun but it will work.
Have a good day everybody...
