It was a nice day here,a little warm. I'm afraid its going to be a hot and dry spring/summer! I did get two rows of sweet corn and two rows of beans and squash and cucumbers planted. We didn't have the usuall stages of bloom this year.(Redbud,then dogwood,then apple,etc) everything bloomed at the same time,reall strange but pretty.
Had a abntam hen hatch a brood out today. Nothing neater tahn a banny hen and her chicks!Did some remodeling on a coop for the buff rock bantams. I am really likeing these rock bantams. Hope there are some at Poops.

Iam excited about Poops because I get to return to Okla.! I also get to meet in person a lot of new friends I have only written to so far. And I get to do chicken deals with fellow addicts!

When I was a kid (UMM! what century was that!lol) I had a neighbor who would pay me to dig him grubs for catfish bait. He swore by them. Never knew anyone else to use them .
So what is a black mountain cur. Is that a local name breed like the fiest.

I'm sure someone will take care of them for you if you have to leave early. If its the private auction you can have someone collect for you and send the money to you. If its for the group auction there shouldn't be any poroblem,just turn them in to who ever is in charge of that,proably Mr. Al. Pardon my manners,Hi Faeri. good to see you on this late. (or at least its late for me!lol)Are you really going to get rid of your project birds? I understand ,I am too. Got interested in a new breed, Don't have the patience to do the project thing.

We have a few easter eggers in our flock. Today we got our first egg from one of them. Here's a photo of today's eggs, see the blue one?
