good to hear it. I had planned to take the girls to a close friends place in the gulf in LA this summer, but that looks like with the spill that may not happen. They have a wonderful fishing camp right on the marsh, the fishing is great and food even better.
I took Laura & Alyssa down to the pond yesterday afternoon when I got home, spend some time have a few laughs maybe even catch something. Well we caught 11 really nice 4lb catfish and a few bass in about 2 hrs, the girls had a great time and I had it best just watching them catch them.

Slow week for me before I start another contract on Monday, feels good to have a few day's free, I may just do something crazy, ya know me, I am IN LOL.

Morning Okie folks! Going to be a miserable day here. In the ninetys with high humidty! Those days I usually stay in but have some honet-dos so I guess MIL and I will have to get out and about. I hid her sleeping meds after she took them last night.She has been taking them several times during the night and is nothing but a zombie the next day. I keep telling wife to take her meds away and give them out as she needs them but she hates to take her rights away. I told her its the safest thing to do at this time.

I think my sick chicks are getting over it,at least the ones that survived!Lost about half of that batch,and they were up and feathered out too.

Any of you flower people like hollyhocks? I have some new ones blooming this year,they are pastels,have white, light pink,light purple,white,orangy color and pure yellow. The yellow ones are my favorites. I will save seed so can share later if antone wants some.

Hey Al that sounds like a great fishing trip. I used to love watching the wife catch some. She learned how to bass fish when we had a ranch leased in Okla. She got pretty good at it.

Doc and Peaches hope you all manage to get some rest!can't keep burning the candle at both ends. Those hushpuppys sure sound good,a good hushpuppy really makes a fish meal.

Morning everyone...I sure have been missing all my friends on here. I didn't know a fat lady could work so hard...but I haven't stopped since school got out.

We have our builder for our house....we've met with the designer and have things pretty much squared away with him...had almost everything out of my parents house....called the house mover to set up the day to move the house and guess what...he changed his mind about taking the house. Doesn't that just figure. We were going to start building in 3 weeks....found this out yesterday. So, the only alternative is to doze it down and then burn it. I cried most of the day yesterday...moving my homeplace was one thing..but burning it is certainly another. My mom always had such a fear of losing our house in a fire...and now dang if I'm the one that is going to have to burn it down.

My daughter helped put it into a better light...she said to think about a forest when it burns how awful and ugly...but when it comes back out how beautiful the new growth is. I guess that's as good a way to look at it....we'll be building a new house to have everyone in our family to be able to come home to. I just dread calling everyone to tell them. It looks like we'll be burning it this Saturday so if you would keep my family in your prayers I would certainly appreciate it...it will be such a hard day.

As far as our birds go....they are laying eggs like bullets. I've sworn off hatching anymore until things get better for us and slow down a little. We have sold some of our birds and sure do need to sell some more. We had planned on going to Chupps this weekend but it won't happen since we are taking care of getting the house down. I sure hate having to feed the birds we don't plan on keeping.

Well folks....got to get after it. I'm bound and determined to get it finished cleaned out. It's kind of sad that there are 4 of us kids and I'm the only one that works on getting anything done. When we have the estate sale you can bet the other 3 will come around to get their share. My kids have been calling me the Little Red Hen...and I just may not let them have any of the bread either. LOL
