They are not predator proof because something can always dig under tractors. But they are heavy enough not to be blown over or carried off by wind, it takes 2 people to move them, and the chickens have plenty of space.

Once built they are 3' tall, almost 6' wide, and are 12' long total(4' is the coop and 8' is the run).

I'll get right on that...LOL!!

I have about 12 more to build of the small ones, then we are going to build them a little taller and wider for the standard breeds( those will have wheels of some kind!)

You dont have a SLW rooster you want to get rid of do you? The one I have, I have never seen him doing anything. Maybe he is into privacy...

Very nice pens Jarvis! If I could make mine look that good maybe my wife wouldn,t object so much!lol Very good size too. What about nest box ,do you just set one on the grond inside the box? Those will be easy to cover in the winter also. Three thumbs up!

Holy Molely Queen, you guys have a huge flock! Surely you can sneak in some more turkens without Doc noticeing!lol I didn't realize you all were in it that big. Talk about I V addiction!lol. Great pics ,keep them comming. Hows the little guy doing. I bet he has a great time walking in amonst all those birds !

Thank you. That is why we built them. 1 to look more uniform and 2 so they would be pretty and not an eyesore.
In the picture of the left side of the inside of the coop you can see some of the nest box. It is setting on the ground. I went to the dollar tree and picked up some small crates(they look like mini plastic milk crates). I took scap board and went around the bottom 3 sides to mak a small lip. The only thing I would like to do witrh the nest boxes now it either cover the bottm in wood or a thick plastic to keep moisture from the ground out of them.

Yeah, And I have 7 pens of Chickens seperated by breeds. I have a minimum of 6 in those of each breed and some pens have 12-15 in them. I am set up now for pure bred hatching eggs. I Just think that 300 is way too many to be on the yard at one time... LOL

Hot Dog is doing great! Loves the chickens. He walks around all day with one under his arm. Yesterday he was carrying a young RIR pullet around and asking it where its momma was. He would point at a Red chicken and say "Is this your momma?" LOL. He loves them. He catches chickens as well as we do.

Everybody builds things differently and for different problems they are having. We built ours after seeing YonderOak's tractors. They are a little different in measurement but basically the same. I looked at alot of tractors before deciding what we wanted.

I look forward to seeing your pics!
