Hey All,
Just got back from Blanchard auction a little while ago. Got the new birds settled (as in set on the porch until I can get them in the noob cage.
The auction went real late (well late for me) tonight. It was fun hanging out with everyone, Maribeth and I stayed almost to the bitter end.
Jess-w did I did not see you at the auction. If you made it sorry I missed you.

Lots of stuff and bird prices were really low. Bad for sellers but extremely good for buyers. I ended up with a pair of white sultans, two silver
laced polish hens and a beautiful silver laced ameraucana hen. Will have Uli take pics of the ameraucana hen, she is quite a sweet and lovely
little bird. Also bought 3 small pet carriers and 10 rebar tposts and after the meager amount the chicks I brought went for I still only ended up
spending $25. So the amount I saved on the birds and stuff I bought made up for how little I got for the birds I sold.

Well Uli will be up in a few minutes so I am going to wait til he gets up before I go to bed. I did not buy everyone a rooster but probably could
have afforded it with how cheap they were going. Oh I do have a white sultan rooster I would like to rehome. Funchick I have a rooster for you!!

Night all!

Good Morning Okie Family!

I wanted to make it to Blanchard last night for a visit, but I just couldnt.
Maybe I will be able to go to the next sale.

I know I will be busy this week getting ready for my sale, so hopefully this
week will fly by fast. I have 2 sales this month again. 17th & 31st.

I gotta get some things done today. Alot of things.
I really need to spend some time with my chickens sinces yesterday sucked.
Hopefully today will be better,

Doc is now in Columbus GA. Ft. Benning. He had inprocessing and Briefs until 11 pm
last night. He sent me a text and said "Good Night" And I guess he crashed since he
stayed up all night friday and then spent most of the day yesterday on plane and
then briefed until 11 pm. I know he was tired.

I aquired some nice blackberries last night. A lady that i sold some chickens too, brought
them by last night. I made a deal that I would give her eating eggs in exchange for berries.
There are so many uses for them.

Well, sorry for the ninja post, but I didnt get on much yesterday. Just too hard... So I will
try to make up for it today or tomorrow. LOL

Goooood Morning! Howdy sooner & Peaches!

I am getting better every day! Aren't antibiotics amazing!? Three days ago I was ready to give up the ghost. Today, I look like a ghost, but feel pretty alive!

Sounds like the auction went well--I am sad to have missed yet another. **sigh**

Auction last night seemed different.... Hmmm...
That said AnnaBell talked herself into a bator at 4h. Yes they have
a whole room full of them that they check out in the spring. So she
told them her chicken stories and we walked out with a bator, turner, books,
posters..... So off to the auction for eggs just to find that they were sold BEFORE
the veggies... DANG.... AnnaBell that has been begging for a bator for months maybe
even a year now breaks down in a full cry. Crushed.... So I asked the egg man and yeap
all sold no pos... Dang... Off to the poops table and ask if anyone has any to share.. AnnaBell
still crushed. Now MaryBeth angel that she is has bought two dozen. Was told she bid hard
for them... Now she sold them to AnnaBell no questions asked. Just here... Im not sure she
even took enough money... So I wanna say on record that poops people are the bomb... What
a nice group of folks... AnnaBell is busy writting up something in her note pad. Looks like a step
by step for the fair. Yonna my older daughter is helping her and says the auction is i their. Think
the judge will know what she is talking about when he or she reads Poops...
God Bless

Good morning everyone. Of course on the only day that I can sleep in, I'm awake at dawn. The kids stayed the night at grandma's and I went to bed around midnight. I had every intention of sleeping in, but my body said no.

Roy that is great news. I actually have to go to Weatherford tomorrow. Well that is if I get off work early enough. The closest pet store is over there and I need to get me some snake food. I have to find their number and call to see what their hours are. I tried to call yesterday to tell you, but I only got your voicemail.

Suzi I'm glad you are feeling better. Sometimes it takes a while. I know that when I got sick, it took 2 month to get over it. I went through 3 rounds of antibiotics before it was over.

Beth I'm glad that Annabelle finally has some eggs to hatch. It is a real joy to watch the kids' reaction when those babies start popping out.

sorry that no one answered your question. I didn't even know there was a Kellyville auction. When you find out the information, would you please post it on the auction thread that is linked to Graceful Bantam's signature line https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4495235#p4495235 so that we will have the information for future reference? I think we all benefit from knowing where the poultry auctions are located.

Had fun at Blanchard last night, but my exhausted body tells me I shouldn't stay at an auction until 1:30 am. Maybe we need to ask them to sell bananas or something like that in the concession stand, because caffeine and sugar and a couple of hot dogs left me "vibrating" from within.

I did get some good buys on pet carriers by having the patience to wait until most of the crowd left. I felt badly for the sellers of birds though, because after 10:00 there were very few that brought more than $5.

Jim, I am delighted that you got the puppet stage and puppets for such a bargain. With the puppet shows that you do for the Lawton library, I can't imagine a better person to have been on the winning end of that great price.

Beth - glad that I could help out AnnaBell. If I weren't too tired to make it to the Jones auction today, I would bring her the turken eggs that I bought at Alex on Friday night. They aren't from Carla so I don't know their quality, but they would help fill up her incubator. There are two dozen of them and if you want to meet me somewhere later today, she can have them.

I am back to bed for a nap and will hopefully awaken later without this "elephant stepped on me" feeling.

I have discoverd that yogurt on my cereal instead of milk is a nice texture and taste combination. Hope you are feeling better this week. Sounds like they may have gotten the correct antibiotic the first time around for you since you are feeling some better.
