Okla - do Wish it was cool out so we could get together in OKC an swap some pigoun's . But it's just to hot out, I dont think i will even make Blanch sale i have more bird's now than i no wat to do with . An wen i go to the sale it's hard not to buy some as cheap as they are...I dont look for the bird prise's to go up any time soon all the Obama money is gone an so is most of the rainy day fund...so thing will get worse i think befor they get better....

MM - I know there are a lot of chickens in town and roosters too, i just dont want the extra noise.

My yard is not far from southside and im along the rr tracks that go east/west just south of there.

i understand too that old chickens still lay eggs, but he has them for a money maker (what little money he makes) and he also wants them all the same age. He's going to try to find someone to slaughter them on shares so if you know anyone, keep me informed. He's not wanting to dispatch them until feb or march tho.

As for the helicopter crash, there was 1 person taken to OKC in fair condition. Prayers be with him/her.

Hello all. I meant to get back on last night, but it looks like I didn't miss much. I'm currently waiting on my ride to work. I told my MIL that she could use my car today, so my friend is picking me. She only lives a block away. I hear her pulling up now. Have fun Okies.

This morning it dawned on me that as I was driving to work, I was looking at all of the little outbuildings I saw on other people's property and thinking of how cute/nice/awesome they would be as a coop! I think I am beyond addicted!

My pens are strong enough to weather one of those little kittys. LOL

Tracks in the snow a couple of years back told me that there are larger cats then that around here.

Ohhhhhh seeeeee! Lions! I told you guys lions like to hide in the tall grasses like in the movie "The Ghost and the Darkness"! That movie really creeped me out...it is too real--for me anyway. In California, lions are a part of life; I have personally been stalked/followed by lions while horseback in the back country of the Janeway (rough, rough backcountry) in Santa Barbara County. Mountiain lions don't typically hunt in pairs or multiples, but they are beginning to in California. It seems as they are evolving, since they are starting to hunt differently. There aren't many animals that I am afraid of, but lions are at the top of the list!

It is going to be a good day. Still thinking about just not even showing up to work today. Got the house to myself wife and kids are gone on vacation for the week. Going to the Sterling rodeo tonight. Then out to coyboys with some friends. Thinking about going to the bike rally in Duncan tomarrow.

I saw one between Sterling and Elgin that was the bigest I've ever seen. It stood as tall as the hood of my truck. I know cause i almost hit it.
