Is Gerald going to take any hatching eggs to Fletcher? Jaxon was so excited last night to finally see the turkens we hatched from eggs purchased from you at the June 26 Blanchard auction. They are among some eggs that I gave a hen, along with some Olive Eggers from that same auction. I ended up putting all of the chicks that hatched from the eggs purchased that night beneath two hens and the chicks are doing well.

In the flight pen, there are 3 turkens that hatched a month or more ago and it is amazing how much taller they are than the other teenage chickens that hatched at the same time.

I have just become aware of this thread! It is nice to know it exists and that it seems so many of you are familiar with each other. We are in SE Oklahoma and look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

Boy was it hot today!

I hauled a trailer of stuff to the dump today, one of many.
Took Monty out to eat rice and beans again today at El Charro.
Came home and I weedeated a little until I ran out of string....
Now I am afraid I already come in where its cool and wont want
to go back outside and work.

I still have to go shopping for tomorrow's concession. It looks like
I need to add Dt. Mt. Dew to my shopping list.

I am still trying to plan a special for tomorrow... Any Ideas before I head
out shopping?

Well I guess Stella and I will be coming Fletcher. Actually as a favor to Uli so he can go to sleep early, well also I want to hang out with cool chicken people.

Had an early arrival today:

Looks like another little Tibetan. The rest of the quail should hatch tomorrow or Sunday.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that hatching early wasn't gonna get him a ride to the auction.

I wish I had time to take a nap between critters and work. It's really tough to feed a zillion critters and then work a 10 hour shift, 30 minute lunch, 40 minute drive to & from work ... and no day off in sight. Well, maybe I get next weekend off, I hope.

I'm glad your eggs hatched well! I love to see baby chicks. Our chickens have slowed down on laying lately. I guess from the heat. Anyway, with Gerald's egg customers at work, this week he hasn't saved any hatching eggs. The garden isn't even producing much produce lately either

I have tried to convince Gerald to go to Fletcher without me, but he says he has too much to get done around our place. We have to get a fence up to keep the goats in our wooded/creek area so they'll eat all the vines, briars and poison ivy

I finally had to get a prescription of steroids to treat the rash on both my arms. Blisters everywhere! I HATE POISON IVY
