It does gather a little water but it runs out on the ground when it gets full I thought about drilling a small hole in it to drain it but since it don't get high enough to reach the motor I'm not worried about it too much, it may even help with cooling the air that is pulled across it. I just never touch the fan while it's wet like that since the frame is metal just in case the mosture is conducting electricity I don't want anyone to find me face planted in the rabbit poo cause I did something stupid LOL

Since "fools rush in where angels fear to follow" and I am familiar with the rationale behind "minimum monthly utility bills", I will just say that the utility company incurs a charge to keep a meter located at your premise and to send someone by each month to read it, whether you are using gas or not. Rather than pass the cost of maintaining your meter to the other customers who are using gas during a particular month, the average annual cost to service each customer is assessed to each customer each month in the form of a "customer charge." If you use any gas, that is an additional charge.

I suspect the "explanation" doesn't make you feel any better

but there is actually a cost based reason for the way bills are done.

Well, since there are 3 meters side by side that he can read without taking a step, I think $75 is good pay without selling any gas. Maybe they should give up selling gas and just "read meters".

Hi everyone!!! I know it is HOT outside but I am making a pot of Chili for supper, it will need to simmer most of the evening as I like mine kinda thick! Junebug, there are inline cartridge filters you can affix to a water faucet and then you hose and mister or drip irrigation onto. they are a small hassle to wash out on occasion but think of the benefits!!!! Hope all are cool today, it is warm here but not like yesterday, thank God for rain, we needed it!! Have a blessed day, Lynn

not sure if it was the heat or not, found him limp in the run, tried to cool him down, but didn't work.... dang heat! Not really sure if it was the heat, but he had other health stuff going on- bad leg etc.... dave said it may have been something else entirely- so i suppose my cohin banties wouldn't mind a cochin cockeral, since i am wanting to do more with the banty cochin girls...

been a heck of a week, so it can't get worse, right??

i'll go catch up on what you all have been doing...

Well we have rain clouds going all around us,lots of thunder but no rain for us! It did come up awind and cool alittle bit.Boy all these young birds are sure eating a lot! Way over my feed budget! But its hard to cull untill they are a little bigger so I know what I want to keep!

Howdy Okla-doo...I read all westerns! I really "collect" Lamour. Also like Max Brand, Lewis Patten, McMurtry, Zane Grey...and a few others...

We got drowned last night..sure made for a nice day. We clipped the new goats for a fair next week...I think the boys will use halters cuz they are a bit wild! Clayton's goat is spastic...totally flips out and then just lays down like the world has ended...kinda funny. Guess I need to go look at birds and see who looks good enough to be shown off. To call it a show is just wrong. There will be very few animals and most of them will be cross stuff and things from hatcheries and I doubt the judge will even know there are standards to judge a breed by! I shouldn't say that...one year my buddy called asking if my pigeons were male or female and I told him then I was like Why? He was judging them! Cracked me up.

Your insurance company feels better that your fire extinguishers have been "inspected." Now that they feel better they won't raise your rates.

On the plus side you could be unemployed, with multiple children and a wife to feed and no chickens old enough to slaughter to feed them with.

Hey Teach, my favorite western/mountain man series is by William Johnstone, The Mountain Man series!!!! Check them out sometime, I love them, have read a lot of other authors also, love Lamar and Grey, if they are still any good, I have about 5 or 600 western paperbacks packed away in my storage shed in a big wood box, may not be any good now, have not opened it in a while, my favorite Lamar series is The Sacket series!!! I was just born about 200 years too late is all!!!! Have a great day yall. Lynn

Proud Momma here to say that our Widow White Crested Duck aka Mrs Seuss has hatched out 2 ducklings thus far... one of them being all yellow with the tuff on the head and the other looks to have a black head.. more info to follow when we can get a better look ( she hid her nest between the two round bales and loafing pen( so pretty tight quarters for a human)
