I don't know what kind of light you have but WalMart, Lowes, Atwoods, almost any Lumber store will carry the plug in type florescent lights, just put it where you want it and mark the holes, take a screwdriver and put the screws into the plate then the wall, put the bulb in, snap the cover on, plug it into a wall outlets and turn it on!!! Walaaahh!!! Instant temporary light!!! Lynn

on your chick, what are the symptoms besides breathing hard? do you have her on anything? how is she eating and pooping? did you notice if she had any scratch from the cat- cats saliva has a bacteria that unless treated with antibiotics is usually deadly- i have given tylan orally with good results

um let me see we have pen...nuflor...on hand right now but I have never injected a bird before where? how? what size needle? how much?

I usually give one drop orally to a chick. Once a day for three days after symptoms disappear but not more then 7 days.

OK giving anything orally to a chick is harder than it seems...got some in her but probably not much I would put it on her beak and she would swallow....got a little electrolyte in her....right now she is mad at me and screaming for her flock mates cause i brought her inside to do this

Now we pray I suppose

I don't think she was one that was attacked haven't seen anything on her to indicate that....he is just breathing hard and acting sleepy except for right now cause she is stressed and mad at me. Not sure she has ate today but got some water/electrolyte in her....

Donnie I would say he is closer to a crele color than anything else.
You can also get a color close to that by crossing a gold/buff color gene chicken with one carrying the barred genes.
Like crossing a barred rock and a buff Orpington.
