We actually got up at 6:30 and left saturday morning. Drove to Fort Gibson and picked up 2 incubators, got home and unloaded them, i grabbed some chicks for Donice, then we left for Blanchard. We were so tired and still had alot at home to get done that we left early since we didnt see anything we wanted.

I wonder how they will fit the poultry show AND the pigeon show in the building? It was a tight fit last year and it wasn't the NATIONAL poultry show

Terry told me awhile back that the Pigeon show would have to be moved. They are having to use every building available and then some just to house the poultry show. It might have changed but that is what I was told.

Here is some info about the Oklahoma State Poultry Federation that I thought some of our folks might be interested in joining. It is only $10 for a two year membership.

The OSPF is a club made up of officers and directors from across the state. We usually meet about 4 times a year for show planning mainly. We only have the one show in December of each year and officers and directors help with set up , tear down, and general running of the show .
Membership is mandatory for officers and directors but you don't have to be a member to show at the show.
There is a $10 membership fee which is good for 2 years. Elections are held every other year .
They can contact Terry Britt or Steve Jones for show or club information.

I will track down Terry and Steve's email addrersses. In the meantime if you are interested please send me a PM.

I was an after thought when I realzed it might have been you. I am quite shy and only in the past 16-17 years I have gotten where I have a hard time talking to anyone unless we have met 2 to 3 times. The 30 years before that was MUCH worse. The only exeption was in the Army. If anything had to do with my duty I was a totally different person.

And thank you for the comment on my son, Colby. He is my 16yr old middle son, and he is a good kid. He's asked me to take him to enlist in the Army's split option program when he turns 17 in November. He will be my 2nd son in.

I bought 2 of the D'Uccle roosters at the sale. We picked out the ones that met standards and had the correct feet and feathering on the feet. The rooster in the show trio I bought him needs a little competition to get the breeding done right; another roo and a little testosterone with his diet.

So maybe those guys we bought will help make him work harder.

Next time, if you realize it's me, knock me over the head and get my attention. I will talk.

Morning everyone... hope you all had a great weekend..

We worked Saturday and some parts of Sunday cleaning up around the front yard and began to discuss our fencing plans..

that we hope to start on really soon.. even if it means a small section at a time...

I am glad the birds are doing well Corral and the geese are to your wife's liking Bill.
I should add that our Chinese Goose had no idea what was going on and all day Sunday wouldnt stop following me around and kept trying to litterly be joined at my hip.. I think he was afraid he was going to be next in the disappearing act.. lol
