Here are some pictures from my Bryan County Fair. These are just some of my birds, some other poultry-related entries I had, and a picture of me giving out one of our donated prizes

I'll have to go through my pictures again to see if I have a picture that shows more of the Poultry/Rabbit barn - it was so full! 450 entries is more than we've ever had over there!

Next time with enough notice I can send you my middle child to help. Every time I turned around she'd conned one of the superintendents into letting her feed or water birds.


LOL Les, prepping and traveling with 10 is a big number for me. 6 is our usual. I think maybe I need a topper for the pickup so we can travel easier. Right now we're all crammed into the cab.

The other Sumatra had already started molting about a week before and I had upped both their proteins, so I was expecting her to start anytime. Nothing I can do for her this week though as we don't coop-out until next Sunday. I'm hoping they'll both be ready in Dec, but I'll be happy with just one.

averytds, my Aunt taught me how to make those blue jean purses, so of course I had to make one with chicken print fabric

Helpful kids (or adults) are always appreciated at the poultry barn, I can tell you that much!

The 4-H concession stand actually had too many workers at one point so the leader asked if she could send some kids to help clean the poultry barn and refill food and water I said "Absolutely!!"

Watch Craig's List for toppers. Sometimes there are even fee ones and if you put the word out locally I'm sure that someone in your area has one they are tired of tripping over.
