I'm sorry about October. I love cats most. The reason I have chickens is that I want more cats but 4 is more than enough. My husband says that if I wasn't married to him I would be a cat lady with 30 cats. My answer is "You think you are worth 30 cats?!"

Jack hatched some eggs I got on line. One of 12 hatched, not a good rate, but knowing how this time of year and the US post office affect fertility I don't mind. Plus I didn't spend much on them. I got a Lavender Bantam (Cochin of course).

Enjoying the nice weather we are having......

It was a slow night at Blanchard. We were excepting it. Some of the other sells this week were down and prices bottomed some. It will come back. State Fair is over that will help some. Just so much going on for everyone.

It was nice as usual to see all of those that did attend. It was a variety night. Parakeets,Finches,Chinchillas,Hamster,Peacocks,Rabbits,Chickens,Ducks,Geese,Pigeons,Quail
Sure made it fun to see such a variety in one night.

Hope to see you all soon somewhere.

Thanks. Well I am not real big on reading books about raising anything I go right to the source. When we first got into Peafowl I talked with a lot of the bigger peafowl breeders and learned more from them then I could have from books. ( I can give you names and #s if you like)

Some of the UPA members got together and put a book to together with basic info, this one should be a good one if I can find the info on it I will PM you with it. (Sorry, I just found out that all the books are gone and they are not going to print anymore).

You can still visit the UPA website and if there is any books that look interesting to you.

Steve

I couldn't help but repost it here! It is wonderful when you can do something that needs to be done without help! Very empowering and I have secretly witnessed her teaching others how to do this too! Great great job!
