I have so much to do its not even funny... We havent had a weedeater all year(I dont know how my boys break them), as with most years the boys break it at the beginning of the year. So we finally got one on wheels and more sturdy! I absolutely love it. We have been getting into spots that are overgrown and cleaning them out. I was hoping to have it all done before it got too cold but I dont see it happening, we do too much running. Carl and I crawl in bed at night trying to figure out why we are so exhausted anymore. I finally figured it out, we never stop. I cant even remember the last time we spent an evening at home in front of the TV relaxing. Oh well, at least the upside we are to tired to have a lasting argument if we have one at all....LOL.

Thats what we are doing.... Carl and the kids are bad about where it lands is where it stays, so I cant mow alot of areas. We have been working on that most of the summer. Just going really slow.

My DH is just a pack rat & our yard looks bad! I plan to start hauling stuff away & if he wants anything important he better be there with me helping. LOL.

Eggcartons.com is having a free shipping special until midnight, October 22 (a Friday) so if there is anything from there you have been needing (new nest pads? egg cartons? Oxine by the gallon? ) you can type in "Fall2010" where you type in coupon codes and you will get free shipping. I used their last free shipping special to buy a chicken catcher - the kind with the long handle that you use to hook a leg while they are on the run. I suspect that the shipping, which was done in a 4 foot tall box, cost them almost as much as I paid for the chicken catcher.

I finally managed to get the lawn mowed with a minimum of hassle. Eventually we will have to do something about the stump collection we have going on in the yard. There are too many places I can't fit into with a 5ft mower deck. It's like some kind of crazy tractor obstacle course with woodpiles, low branches, sandtraps, large boulders, and the boy's playset, too. I yanked up the weeds around the carport, garage and zen garden. I let Grayson come out to help me, and by help I mean dig in the dirt and sneak up behind me to throw grass in my hair. I feel like I accomplished quite a bit, despite not even starting to do anything useful until after about 4pm. At least it is starting to look like someone actually lives here.

Well I'm off to get some shut eye

I think that with the weather changing, more flies are coming inside the house. Jaxon gets 10 cents from Papa for every fly he kills and he has been raking in the change.

5 foot mower decks are great for open areas, but they are a challenge to maneuver around things. We have some areas that have to be cut with the weedeater or a push mower. Sounds like Grayson had fun "helping" you this evening.

We have a push mower and weedeater for the spots the tractor can't reach, but I didn't specify that on my to-do list so I have a valid excuse for not getting them out.

Grayson is very insistent about "helping" me do everything, to include stealing the clothes when I am trying to fold them, climbing into the tub when I am cleaning the shower, and dumping the ashes from the stove out onto the floor, among other things. Always with the statement "I helping, Mommy!"

Wheres everyone at tonight? Guess they are to tired or at school ball games!

I'm sure tired. I built my cages for the auction then the wife called and wanted me to come to her new office and rearrange things! That involved moving the computer, bookshelvevs, pictures, bulletin boards, etc. But the good thing about that was ,her new work place is just down the street from a Ryans! So after the work she treated me. Lost a whole weks worth of dieting! Then I went to petco and got a male mouse for my two females. Then back home and caught and caged and separated chickens for an hour and a half ! Now I'm am pooped! Hope I don't see anything I want tomorrow so I can stay downsized!lol.
