---->comes dragging her tired butt into the group for some much needed friendship...and currently sipping on some EmergenC drink<-----
Hi guys
frow.gif
sorry I have been MIA. I asked MMPoultry to leave a note on here for me about my absence. My dad is still in the hospital...he had surgery on tues to replace the drains in hopes that it would buy us some time until we have to have a major surgery to finally repair the leak that has been there...sew up the drains...and remove his gallbladder. Unfortunately, the drain came out yesterday...the dr replaced it. Then it came out this morning again and the dr replaced again....2 hours later the drain again came out. The dr mentioned this morning that the drain has to stay in or we are in even deeper trouble...but it is not. He was hoping we could avoid the major surgery but if he has to do it then we do it...So right now things are an absolute mess. I feel the dr doesn't even know what to do right now. Dad's losing blood and their answer is when he gets low transfuse him....rather than fix it on tuesday when they were in there.
Meanwhile....school is moving along at a rapid pace and tons of things are due or coming due.....there just is not time for anything...and at this point dad's fiance hasn't even bothered to show up for over a month to help. So I'm left holding the whole enchilada.

Well I just got back from the auction at Harrah.
Its going to take a while to get it going.
Pat said he didn't expect alot on the first night.
Hopefully he can get the word out to more folks.
I enjoyed talking to him and a few others I met there.
The auction barn is really clean and nice.
New cages for all the birds.
It wasn't as far out as I thought. Its only about a mile and a half East of Harrah on hwy 62
and then just a little over a mile south on Lincoln countyline road.

Ivy hang in there. Matt has been keeping us posted and your dad and you are in many prayer lists.

No matter how hectic things get be sure to take a little "me" time every day so things don't get the best of you.

Even though school is important to you I'm sure that if you went in and talked to a counsler a hardship delay could be had with no penality twords your finishing.

Thanks everyone....I am really hoping that they just fix this soon. It is tough on everyone. Unfortunately school is something that cannot be put on the back burner due to scholarships, financial aid and I already applied for graduation in May....so at this point I am just praying my way through this.

Ivy you have alot on your plate & Matt has been keeping us posted. We also have you on our prayer list so hopefully we can all pray you through this. I hope you dad recovers better after the surgery.

Monty, glad you went to check the auction, sounds like it will be pretty close to you.

Wayne how far away is that auction from your new place??? I don't know what I will have on my plate the weekend you are here but maybe I can sneak off to come see you, Donnie & Joe.

Betsy good to see you! Sounds like someone will get some nice birds!!!

NN I picked up a nice RIR hen tonight to go with my NN Roo. She is hanging out in the hotel room with us. LOL.

Thats funny! I thought I was bad sneaking a Taco dog in the motel! At least its a hen and won't crow. Just hope she doesn't lay an egg or get excvited about something!Lol. The sale they go to is proably 35 + miles or so,just guessing,I haven't been in that direction in years.Used to be wild country back when I was in the law work.It would be nice to have a get together. Are Bill and Eulaine still chickening? Maybe they could even show up.We need to get this eastern group together more often.

Add my prayers to those going out for you and your Dad, IvyB. This can really be a tough time of life. Know there are many people supporting you in the background.

I guess I "lurk," as I'm here a couple of times a day--just don't often have anything of interest to add.

Betsy - hope your girls do well at Cupps this morning. Anyone buying your birds will get some nice one, whether for pets or for showing.

I am off for a day in the church kitchen, making cinnamon rolls that we have pre-sold as a fund raiser for our church camp. It is a long day but a lot of fun too. We have done this for almost 20 years now and I have to admit that it is a project that I enjoy. Unfortunately, it will prevent me from attending any auctions this evening since I will be too tired and sore to move - it never ceases to amaze me how many muscles in my legs and back only get used once a year

ivy, praying for you and all concerned- try to take some time for you- even a few minutes of quiet with the chickens can do wonders- been in a similiar situation- tough road but we are here for you!
