Ok just for fun, has anyone noticed the gorilla or monster type face in the pic of the week. It is on the left side of the picture etched in the hen's feathers.
I started another post about but thought I would see what my peeps thought?

A skunk got my best rooster last night. Both hens are okay, but somehow the skunk pulled the rooster close enough to the fence to kill him and decapitate him. The stinky thief must have had skinny arms, because the pen has 1" chicken wire on either side of 2 X 4s, like a chicken wire sandwich, and I've got two lines of electric fence wire hot enough to knock down a cow strung around the base. It must have been quite a struggle because the ground around the pen has been sprayed. I put fresh dirt over the worst areas, but I can still smell skunk.

If anyone's trying to sell a nice Speckled Sussex rooster or cockerel, keep me in mind. I can't believe he's gone. He was going to be such a good daddy next spring.
