My computer was down for awhile Ok for a long time this afternoon and evening.
Someone asked about the post counts changing.
It is due to some housecleaning that BYC is doing.
I talked to Nifty about it. The only way it affects our thread is by cutting posts and therefore we have less pages.
Basically all it is eliminating is any small talk that is over ten days old.
It eliminted posts like "Good Morning" and "Just popped in to say hi" or even things like
caf.gif
.
But only if they were more than ten days old.
Its still ok to use short posts like that or to just pop on a smiley.

Hay Barbie, I'm in Stillwater too and going to go to the show on Saturday, the 11th. I'll probably leave here around 10 a.m. or so, want to carpool? You can bring a carrier with you for any little Silky Chickens that think they need to follow you home.....

I would NOT enable a chicken addict.....not

much anyhow...

Careful - I LOVE my chickens and my dog is a wonderful, smart and loyal companion but ...... I'll go ahead and say it ..... CATS RULE!

The cat lives next door. It got into 1pen and got my red bantam frizzled cochin hen, this new cochin, and a couple of others/ I have chased it out of the big pen before. So now it is time to take charge!

I do like cats but not when they kill my chickens!

I agree.

Hi all, speaking of cats! I have about 30 of them and most of the time they don't bother the chickens, have had a few bouts with them getting chicks and especially getting our pigeons. I went out to feed the Guineas last night and when I went to push the door open to go out I got a splinter in my hand, when I looked to see where it came from I found several puncture holes in the door(door is a standard hollow core interior door) well I got to looking and there are several sets of three holes in it. my first thought is that my teen aged son had taken out some transgressions on the door with a pitch fork, called the wife over to look at it and on closer inspection we found on the outside of the door there were four sets of three holes, I got the pitchfork and it did not match up with the holes, so we have come to the conclusion from the patterns and scratches along with the punctures that were may have a Cougar or a very large dog that attacked the door!!!! Just two nights ago I thought I heard something outside but when I went out on the porch the Guineas were acting up, but thought it was because the lights on the timer had just gone off. Maybe we had a visitor then!!! I cleaned out from in front of the door and smoothed out the soft dirt so I can see if anything comes back and maybe get a look at the tracks, what is really scary is the sow and baby piggies are in the stall next to the Guineas!!! Any ideas on how to catch a big cat with out endangering all our tame cats??? Lynn

Morning, Okies!

Smelled skunk as I headed out to feed. Came back in for a cup of go juice and a stronger flashlight. Hesitated long enough over coffee to catch up on posts. Headed out now to finish feeding. Need to find the source of the skunk stink. Hope it's not hiding under my car.

Have a great day!
