I don't have any snakes, but I have some great photos of snakes. Love taking pics especially at the zoo, and we have a local "zoo" in Okmulgee it is small, but very hands on, they have two snakes a ball python and an albino huge yellow and white constrictor of some kind. One of the days I was there he let her on the ground and I was in the grass w/ her taking close shots w/ her in the grass when a dragon fly landed on her head, it was one of those once in a lifetime shots and I got it!!!!!!!! While I don't want them as pets, I love the rodent elimination service they provide and never kill them.

good morning everyone, Just want to take the time to intoduce myself. Im new to the byc and and fairly new to chickensand am looking for people in the area to learn from and just chat with from time to time. My page tells a little about me so please chk it out. I have only been raising chkns since feb. but have totally been taken by them. I in the choctaw/jones area and would like to get to know all my neighbors. Just recently met okiechick57 and she gave me 2 roosters, had a wonderful time getting to know her and look forward to getting to know the rest of you. I will be at the show on the 11th, first time to go to a poltry show. The anticpation is building. Still figuring out the site a little but have come a long way from the 1st day. Right now im only raising for eggs but looking to get meaties in spring, and also very interested in showing. I dont know anything about that yet but am very interested in learning. Anyway i just wanted to get myself out there alittle and hope to here from everyone.

Welcome!!!! You have several Okies in your area that chat on here! Feel free to ask questions on here about meaties & showing, again several either show or raise meaties.

Another person on the meaties would be Buster, I wish he was closer so I could learn about the processing part to see if it is something I can handle on my own.......someday.

Hi Pat, thank you for the offer! I will have to see if I can get my mom from Enid to come with me or not. If she can go along, I can probably just go, but if I'm on my own, I may take you up on that. (My husband is staying home with the kids - he offered to come but he'd just be making me hurry along and I want to enjoy!) What kind of chickens do you have?

Ok Barbie, the offer's open so just let me know sometime before that Saturday morning. If my plans change for any reason, I"ll let you know.​

Okay you guys! I've got that weather prediction thing from a bunch of you so I get it that you all think I'm a nut!

It may be a true prediction as far as the cold. All of next week the temps are supposed to be in the 30's for highs!

I have been out fixing and planning on where I am going to put my piglets. Made sure all the extra water bowls were turned upside down and ready for next weeks freeze. Let the wayandottes out till the neighbors Taco started chasing them!Those round little wyandottes are so cute. I started out with three odd colored hens fro Teach and put a partridge roo over them and got some more odd colors! Don't care if they aren't show birds they are just as cute and fun as any.
