I am going to get the attic insulation & they are going to blow it in while I am at work today. We got all the closets done & last night I got all the phone jacks & GFI recepts put in. My fingures are sore.

Well it sounds like you got allot done, yes that romex can be tough on the fingers if you do a bunch of them. Are you getting the white poly blow in insulation ??, it's much easier to work with.

AL

Yes the blow in but not sure what the color is. Using the fiberglass.

I did several by the time I did the phone's & the GFI's. I have to have lesson's on the double one's today so I can finish. I'm sure I am entertainment for the guys at work but i am getting it done.

Did you run the regular 4 wire telephone cable or blue Cat 5 network cable ??.

AL

Cat 5

I had a fun time because we had two different brands & the colors got me. Hopefully they are all right & the phone will work.

LOL that's why I was asking cause I know Cat 5 can be a bear to crimp the connectors just right. Those little colored wires drive me nut's, but it is the best choice for speed & data.

AL

No crimping for me thank goodness, I just had to use the correct color pairs to wire to the phone jack & mount it on the wall.

Oh Ok then you should be good, I was just wondering if you were wiring room to room for networking from a internet modem, That takes some special skills cause you have to do some reversing of colors and such................ by custom making your own jumpers what a pain that is.

AL

Al - Are you trying to get Carl on here so he can speak your language with you....LOL

Sooner - Im sure everything will work fine. Its not that hard to fix if something is crossed wrong.
