Here's the chocolate bunny pose:

My sister asked if he was caramel filled. *ha* Word is that we're gonna get hit with some more serious storms tonight. Everyone take care.

Cammie, your bunny is absolutely ADORABLE! He does an excellent imitation of the chocolate bunny! I'm glad he's found a great home,

Tara or Terra (spelling ???) aka ChicknGurl, it was nice meeting you at the Blue auction.

Thanks for bringing the birds to us from Grace.

Grace, sorry we missed you when we were in the neighborhood.

We just barely got to the Blue auction in time ... around 6:30 and had to check in the stuff we sold. It wasn't as big an auction this time around, perhaps because of the rain earlier. We didn't buy anything! The chicks & turkey poults that Gerald wanted to bid on sold when he was out transferring Grace's/Monty's birds. He wasn't happy that I didn't bid higher on them for him

Monty, when do you want the hens? Gerald put them in a small cage with some food & water when we got home this morning around 2 am.

Carla, I sent you a pm about getting the hens.
Also if Gerald is becoming such an auction Junkie, you should check out Chupp's just east of Tulsa. They have a website. Their chicken auction is supposed to be huge. JimD could elaborate more on them. I have never been but have heard good reports.

Grace: Thanks for the hens. Now I need a Black Copper roo.

Cammie: That is not a very pretty chicken. It doesn't even look like a chicken to me. What breed is it anyway?
OH!!! I get it, you just disguised him so hubbiewubbie to be wouldn't know it is a banty rooster.
Your twicky but you know when it crows you are busted?

I need the rain to stop so I can go feed the hoard.
New Okies speak up! Old ones too!
Gotta keep this thing alive so everyone must feed the monster.

Carla & Gerald, it was lovely meeting you (it's Tara, you had it right the first time

)! I had a talk with my partner in crime, so I think we might be going back to the auction sometime to actually buy something & sell some surplus eggs & birds. Gerald, sorry you didn't get your chicks & turkey poults. I swear Carla and I didn't plan it out like that!

Oh yeah, how much did those "ameraucana" roosters and older birds sell for? How'd your chicks do?

Grace, it was wonderful meeting you and your Dad. Hope Mr. Jap boy is enjoying his new digs.

Your d'uccles and chicks have settled in nicely!

ChicknGurl, so all you did was look at the auction? No buying? What great self-control you have (

)
Anyway.... It was great meeting you, too!

"Mr. Jap boy" is completely enamored of Princess, and the same with her

Glad the d'Uccles and chickies made the trip safely and enjoy their new home

Buckguy, I hope you enjoy the hens

I wish I would have had a rooster for you, too!

Carla, I'm sorry I missed seeing you, too

Did you stay until the end of the auction? What did you sell? Did it bring good prices?

Cammie, what a sweet bunny!

We did ok at the Blue auction ... but the Cement auction was certainly the place to sell chicks & eggs! At Blue, we sold some Spitzhauben and Brabanter chicks ... I think they went for around $3.50 each. The auctioneer said he'd never seen them before at the auction ... too bad it didn't make people want them more, lol. Also, at the Blue auction there were quite a few free puppies there, and some free kittens. I almost took home a part great pyrenese, part okbosh (spelling ????) puppy home with me ... but Gerald said I couldn't, since we already have 5 pound puppies living with us. He said we have to wait until one of our others dies of old age ... or runs away from home. Anyway, we didn't buy a thing. It's good that Gerald was busy transferring chickens when those birds he wanted came through the auction ... we sure didn't need them, and I'm sure we'll find a better deal at Harrah! Oh, a highlight of the Blue auction ... a giant rat running around the rafters that Tara pointed out ... I shined my flashlight at him as he ran. Yes Tara, you need to go there again. It's definitely an interesting place to visit. Gerald wants to go again ... but next time we do, we'll have to find a motel. It is entirely too long a trip. We left early again ... around midnight, so we didn't see all the birds go thru.

We will definitely go to the Harrah auction this Saturday. It's always a pleasure talking to all the BYC okies that attend it! I think we'll be bringing some more spitzhauben chicks to sell, plus I probably should start selling some cuckoo marans rooster chicks and possibly others.

You're welcome Monty! Glad to help a fellow BYC Okie!

Springtime in Oklahoma ... we sure are experiencing some of mother nature's fireworks & fury tonight. I hope everyone is safe & sound & high & dry. OK, you don't have to be high

Carla, sorry that your chicks didn't bring more

Last time I was there, there were some Egyptian Fayoumi chicks that only sold for around $2! You could tell that people had no idea what they were, though. Even John Teel said "These are some Egyptian Fayoumi chicks..... that's what the box says at least.... I don't know if that is a real breed of chicken or not??"

Now, had I not warned you about needing a motel

Did everyone make it through the weather alright last night?

Radar showed "strong circulation" about 10 miles south and east of my house. The Hubs thought it was cool. Louisiana bred me was freaking out somewhat since the sirens were going off.

The "strong circulation" went right over my office. Turns out the building is still standing and has no damage. Darn.

The cat was more spooked by the siren than the bad weather.
