hey it is me......I feel like I have come home.....albiet for a short visit most likely.........I have missed you all.............I see we have new peeps

welcome, hopefully after my Oregon trip this month, I will be on more.....been down in the dumps physically and busy busy trying to make a buck on ebay lately............and that is besides the family drama

Cement Auction on Saturday, the 5th of July ... I sure hope they intend to have it this weekend. Gerald and I still intend to go. Hopefully we'll take at least some nice young roosters with us, and we have 5 adorable baby call ducks that need to go too, and maybe 5 rhode island red chicks. We expect to see some BYC Okies there, including al6517 and Muesky! How about GoldRose and Luvzmybabz? I hope to see you there too!

okiechick57, I'm so glad to hear from you again! It's been a while since we've seen or heard you around. I hope your life gets less chaotic soon :aww

Just went to the PO and picked up my eggs

They are resting right now,they will go in the bator later this afternoon when I move some other eggs to the hatcher..
Thanks for the quick shipping and great packing, I will post a bator record on my page for the JG so that you can check on my bator progess..

I was wondering about the shell color, do you know what chick color comes from which egg color?

Sorry things have been chaotic for you. It will all slow eventually.

How have you chickens been? Does the little cutie still have her pet quail??

I won't be makin it to Maud this week; no gas money until Friday! But I am planning on going to Cement Saturday. Thanks for the reminder, al6517!

I'm bringing my BEAUTIFUL Black Rose Comb Bantam Rooster and some of their eggs (FRESH!)

I'm also going to bring a couple of dozen Lavender Guinea eggs to set.

I've got some really pretty baby chickies - Dominiques right now. Two hens have set and each have 8 babies with a few more to hatch.
Too bad I didn't catch them early on and set my own guinea eggs. They seem to know when I'm outta town to a horse show and then they begin setting!

no Cement for me this week my hubiie and I are going down to help my uncle with some storage things from my granparents Ostrich farm they used to have. 2 old city buses that were remodeled to transport baby ostriches are full of stuff from the farm and costing $$ to be stored so we are cleaning out the buses and they are going across the scales however I am so excited. I get the grow lights and the hydroponics system, hoping within 2 years to also have gotten a green house so that we can grow some of the family food and help out with chicken treats all year long.

If I remember right, it was a derogatory term. It is now a badge of honor so to speak, and a verbal indicator that Oklahomans are resilient and can take anything negative and turn it into something positive if they so choose.
