Yes, I sold some at the Newcastle auction on Saturday night, and just sold some more on ebay tonight ... I'm on my way to the Oklahoma City Airport Post Office to get them out tonight ... they close at 11 pm.

Oh, by the way, my 2 month old Black Jersey Giant chicks sold for $11 each at the Newcastle auction! That was awesome!

Send me a pm if you're interested in some!

I pm'd ya. I would want them shipped around the 18th. That's when my bator will be empty again and I have another order of eggs coming then.

I know, it was a moment of weakness. You should have seen Gerald!

Needless to say, he's not happy about it! I tried seeing what sex they are today ... Gerald holding & them scratching him trying to get away. He was not having fun at all :thun He said I had to get rid of them. He said they go or I go. Well he's packing now.

Really, he's sitting here giggling while I type it, but he sure doesn't like the cute little fuzzy things.

Hey I have some week old silkie chicks for sale if there is anyone here that wants them. I also have 19 mix breed week old chicks for sale. Some of these are EE. My chickens lay large eggs. I am in Eastern Oklahoma

Well looks like the doe I bought may have been a little further along then I was thinking. She spent the entire night building her next and raising quite a ruckus no babies yet but she is lining her nest now with her fur so could be anytime.

We also won the Select Showmanship and were second in the Amateur Showmanship! It was HUGE! There were over 3500 head of horses there!

I'm glad we were on the first weekend and we are home.

Things are EXPENSIVE there,

but most people that show have 'money to burn', but we are just working folks who have a passion and a dream.

Is anyone else floating away? lol I'm glad for this rain, but it sure rained hard last night! We are on a flash flood watch with a lot more rain coming this way. Stay safe!

Thank you, OkieMommy!

We are GLAD for the rain and somewhat cooler
temps. We have hay down in the fields, but it
is grass hay for the cattle and will simply require us to rake it before baling. Cleaned all the dust off it at least.

Oh, I hope you get lots of cute little bunny babies soon!

Gosh, where I live (Tuttle, Grady Northern Grady County) the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the area. We have a creek that goes through our 5 acres. I hope all my birds, dogs, kitties & bunnies are ok. I'm at work now. I wish I could check on them right now, but Gerald should be there this morning. He'll take care of them. I talked to him earlier when he was on his way to the feed store.

Gerald and I went to the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter on Sunday, to look for a kitty or two to add to our menagerie. There were lots of dogs & cats, but not the special, easy going, dog friendly kitty we wanted. When we were walking out though, there were several people in line with animals to turn in, and a lady had a carrier full of kittens. We took 2 home with us! The laldy said they'd been raised around kids and dogs! Now I need to take these sweet little fleabitten boys to the vet so they can have their vaccinations and neutering. I need to find a vet that gives quantity discounts ... I have entirely too many critters!

I am losing birds left and right they seem to want to stand lay in this 1 corner where it is standing in water. The tarp blew off or got moved last night. Ok enough of the rain for a few hours so I can get something done. I have a few in the house drying off.
