no luck to it, look up jagdterriers...they are a 15-20lb dogs that are used on hogs, bear and mt lions....
I just looked them up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdterrier and they do seem to be a great dog for hunting predator animals. It looks like they're great hunting wild boar, racoon, badger, fox, etc. I wonder how they'd be around livestock?
I cant speak for the rest of them, as I have only worked one on livestock, my old female that I had from a pup, when she was around two we had a bull calf that was gettin pretty ornery, I tried briar on him, and she went to workin his head in a way a catahoula would have been proud...after a while the bull calf stopped respectin her and tried chargin me with her workin his head, to my surprise she jumped up and got a good hold on his nose and started shakin, lol....he respected her after that, lol...but I never did work her on stock again as she liked it too much and i had to continually call her off of the cattle...now, I have to say that a LOT of jagds are half psychotic when it gets in huntin or kill mode, so if anyone buys one, talk to the breeder first, and tell him what you want, as any reputable breeder will not sell a GOOD one (super gritty) to someone that isnt going to hunt it, but they do have them from time to time that are considered culls, as in they are not hardcore enough...they are german bred, and very efficient but I have known several jagds that got into pens with other jagds, and one of them would end up dead if someone didnt break it up...I got lucky and ended up with a couple that were much more mild mannered....
