whew! What a day! started out nice, then had to read "the little engine that could" at least fifteen times! ( gotta love two year olds!). I did get to go out and dig more garden space this afternoon though! Got another 4 x 2 ft. section dug up and weeded. Was kinda nice in the cooler weather!
Only 21 more days til my chicks are shipped!!! Wish I knew exactly when they are going to arrive so I can count the hours and minutes too!
Hope everyone has a good night!

LOL I guess I scared Teach and Doc when I said they was gonna have to work if they come over!!!LOL Come on guys I will even ge a case of Diet Mountain Dew!!! LOL Lynn

Six and GGame, I love the coondog talk, there ain't no sweeter sound to my ears than a hound bayin!! Well except maybe a rooster crowin!!!LOL I have had Blue ticks, Redbone, Walkers, Plotts, Currs and mixes of all of um, don't have any now though, never got into any competitions but they used to put on some CD shows in the little town of Glencoe where I grew up, we had a bunch of hounds and ran coons, cats, possums an a few Armadillos up and down Camp creek a many a night!!! Thanks for the memories and that is one perty BlueTick there Gotgame!!! Lynn

We were out all day getting fences and pens moved, we now have all the girls divided into both coops and each coop has at least one garden spot fenced in. (according to my "master plan" insert evil laugh each coop will have 8 fenced garden spots so we still have seval more full days of fencing to go! Oreo wasn't thrilled about his harram being divided in two, but 10 females should be enough for any one guy to handle!

The girls in the new coop/pen needed to be "assisted" to go in the new coop tonight, several hard headed ones were having nothing to do w/ it.

Too funny!! We hunted all over Camp Creek till they dammed it up and made the Lone Chimney Lake!!! Where did you go to school/graduate??? You are a bit younger than me I think, I hit 50 this year, graduated in '79!!!! Do you remember an OLD man named Sanford??? He was my history teacher and he kept a pen of about 10-12 Black and Tans just over the tracks west of my house for years!!! Lynn

Greybear as you can see i love talking hounds i have had them all my life. guess have had about every kind at one time or another. i used to competition hunt alot but have slowed down since it gets harder and harder to keep up with the younger hunters... i have a ladner bred black mouth cur female that i drove to miss. to get as a weaning pup she will tree squirrels and is a great guard dog..she got bred by accident to my daughters Rott and i kept one male he is only about 2 and 1/2 months old and he is already growling and barking if he sees something at night in the yard .. dont know what he will be good for but he likes watching the chicks in the brooder..he just looks at them and cocks his head its so funny to watch...well i guess i have rambled about enough...

I have a friend east of Glencoe that has registered Black Mouth Currs, had a guy out that way that used to have Plott hounds but not sure if he still does. I live about 16 miles from where I was raised now!!! Recon we can talk hounds as they can be some good CHICKEN guardin dogs!!! I used to tie mine out on barrels amongst my Gamecocks to keep the Coons and possums and skunks out of them!! Worked pretty good!!! Lynn
