Lavender x Black is recommended = 100% black birds carrying the Lav gene. Cross those and get 50% Lav, 25% black carrying the Lav gene, 25% black. Or you can cross back to the original Lav and get more Lavs.

It is recommended to cross with black and not the blue and splashes.

Is this your way of telling us you are planning to get married in the near future?

What colors will you have and how old will they be when you plan to sell them?? also, how much??

The well started standard cochins will be Partridge and black both pure no crosses here. Pricing will be based on age. we start at $2 each day old and raise them 50 cents a week. At 14 weeks we price based on quality.

No problem... They are starting to get a little thick I think we have somewhere around 40-50 right now thr problem is there are more hatching every week. I need to reserve some for ourselves but not that many.

hey monty, did you go to Mary's this morning??

I went out to Mary's this morning - there were only about 3 chicken vendors (Michael Daugherty decided not to go) and when we got there about 11:00, some of the vendors of misc. were already loading up and going home. Not many customers there this morning.

We went over to Old Paris Flea Market and found everyone who wanted to buy/sell stuff made in China and a few folks selling their garage sale left overs. Old Paris has repaved their parking lot, which was nice. Mary's parking lot was understandably muddy and still had snow in some of the ruts. I was glad I had my boots on at Mary's.
