Hve Coop! put a microwave half potaoe on each spur for five minutes then twist off,it will reduce them to at least half(can't go any more then that because of the quick). May bleed a while but he will be okay.I did this on my phoniex and his were twice as long as your roos.

I just went and checked on her...I don't think she is gonna make it. She's lookin really bad.....

Ivy if you can see the end of the egg take a butter knife and bust it,then you can remve it by breaking it down. It won't hurt her anymore than she is already feeling. A good warm soak afterward and a good swipe of vaseline and wrap in a wram towel should do wonders!

Ivy you gotta get that egg out she will squak but she'll die if you don't. Just think couple of seconds of pain but you get to live.

Gosh I'm sorry Ivy!

If you are able to get the egg out you need to put her somewhere dark so maybe she will stop laying so her vent can heal.

I thought you weren't supposed to bust them cause if you dont get all the pieces it cuts them inside. But I will go try it cause otherwise she is dead.

ivy- i give mine a warm bath, massaging their abdomen, get a tums(pure calcium), disolve it in water, maybe 1/2 cup, dribble it on her beak, the calcium will relax her muscles, vasiline her vent, that may help-

Good morning Robin I looked at you website a couple of days ago, you sure do some pretty work. we have enjoyed our showgirl drawing we bought at poops last year and hope we get to buy some more this year. I didn't know you did horses too, we may have to talk about about that some more I lost one a while back and he was a special horse. Not every artist can capture a horse they sometimes look funny, yours look great DeAnn was very impressed and she is THE horse art snob.
